In the 101 live DM movie, it's during this song that Dave Gahan and Martin Gore are sharing vocals, and look at each other smiling like two young pop stars who've just realised they've finally made it really really big; that gig at the Pasadena Rose Bowl attracted over 60K fans, their biggest to date I believe

zz top 'nationwide' to this song is a really abrupt, incompatible segue!  for a station that seems so careful to mesh the songs' styles in a playlist, this song choice really stands out as one that disrupts the flow, and not in a good way at all. . .

Edgar Froes of Tangerine Dream did an album using the dummy head thing in the 70s. More recently Eurythmics used something similar on 'I Love You Like a Ball and Chain' from 'Be Yourself Tonight' in the 80s and Bomb the Bass used Qsound, which was a digital version, on  'Winter in July' in the 90s.

Wasn't it back in the 70s when they made a few true binaural albums?  They used 2 mics, one on either side of a dummy head to record the music, and then you could best enjoy the music by listening through headphones.  Or something like that.
