Back in the 80s (before she hit it big, natch), I saw her in a pub and during the encore, she did the theme from Goldfinger.  I'd love to have a recording of her doing that.

Yeah, that seems to be a stylistic choice of hers - I hear it in some songs and then again she can sing clearly with an open throat on others.

I've always loved her voice and, mostly, her ability to place her gift at the service of the song. She never overwhelms like most modern vocalists and neither does she seem uninvolved, something that bothers me about Linda Ronstadt.

I have always found KD's voice to be much too 'nasal' for my liking, despite her impressive range. My favourite of her's is her cover of Lynn Anderson's classic 'Rose Garden'. Just as good as the original - it really rocks.

The Georgia boy says you should be singing praises for k.d.'s hymns of the 49th parallel, her latest, all Canadian songwriter release. An excellent work. You should check it out.
