I see I'm in the minority here, but I like it. I enjoy the soft spoken nature of his voice. Very pretty tune.

Wow.
These last 3,
Tom, Shins and S&G are like an early (for me) RP playlist. When I first tuned in, good example of what I heard and enjoyed, Thanks!
8 btw.

what I find more annoying than the song (which is acceptable, I guess) is the use of "2" for "to"...leave that kind of thing to Prince, will you?! or will U...

Thanks, that's one reason I shrunk away from the computer when I heard that. ;-)

I don't know... the song rolls along in it's sparseness and then it's as if it gets possessed. It's all too much for me to bear and enjoy.

Agreed. I take it you have the soundtracks? Thoroughly enjoyable stuff. Here, I think the sound is suggestive of DEEPER things, below the surface, (whales?) In LOTR, the Shadow world where Wraiths exist, also below .

It's prettyish...but it sounds as if Tom is trying to jump on the bandwagon of baby-sounding female singers. I don't like that soft, sappy sound on the girls, and I like it less on this man.

Of course, perhaps he recorded this fifteen years ago, and now someone will jump down my throat for criticising without knowlege...just let me get a drink of water, and I'll be ready for you.

I like that "noise." The beat and closely played guitar set an atmosphere of calm melancholy--while the howling in the background swirls deep within. Its uncannily beautifull.
