This is why I like RP.  I don't think JMC is the best band ever, wouldn't buy their stuff, but still I love to hear this in the set.  The blast from the past and its place in the set between Elvis Costello and Van Morrison is what makes it worth listening to.

Agreed on BMRC, but J+M went into the 90's. Saw them in '92 (I think) with Curve & Spiritualized. I remember lots of strobe lights and feedback.

Sometimes Always, which features Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval, is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time. Here's the video.

The core of the band were brothers Jim and William Reid . Jim is still active in music and William has been a bit quiet for a while.

Drummer Bobbie Gillespie became the lead singer of Primal Scream who are on a bit of a comeback at the moment.

'April Skies' takes me back to my moody teenage years. Rock on........

A lot of their tunes sound fairly similar to me. However, that doesn't keep me from enjoying the music. I dig the J&M Chain.
