Don't ask me
What you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart
We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears
I told you
That we could fly
'Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never, ever tear us apart
I (Don't ask me)
I was standing (You know it's true)
Mm, you were there (Worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (We're shining through)
And they could never tear us apart
You (Don't ask me)
You were standing (You know it's true)
I was there (Worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (We're shining through)
And they could never tear us apart
I-I-I
I was standing
You were there
| On_The_Beach (The Blue Planet) | Posted: Apr 14, 2013 - 20:23 "Need You Tonight" was a good tune as well. |
| Lkw (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) | Posted: Feb 23, 2013 - 00:17 Still a very good song. I love his voice, he was an excellent singer. |
| coloradojohn (A Mile High and then some, Cherry Creek, Denver) | Posted: Oct 22, 2012 - 20:53 Hey, wow, still sounds pretty good...and I can never forget how on our first trip to Bali in '88 my manic Brit mate "Short-Circuit" Mike kept this fine INXS album almost constantly playing on the jammin' little stereo we had in the pool-side bungalow in Kuta... |
| Sweet_Virginia | Posted: Oct 08, 2012 - 14:07 They played in my college in my old home town in OZ in front of a couple of hundred people or less several times on their way up in the late 70s. They were great then. MC had really bad skin. |

I hear what you're saying - have thought that about many, many bands. But I think this song holds up remarkably well. Hard to believe it's 25 years old. |

| pdjpirate (Near the Graveyard of the Atlantic!) | Posted: Sep 24, 2011 - 17:25 I am so glad that I had the privelage to see INXS w/ MH in the day! Awesome performances!!! |
| socalhol (Seattle) | Posted: Sep 07, 2011 - 18:15 Ahhhhh, this was my very FIRST CD I ever bought — and it's still in my collection today, 24 years later. Now that's some staying power! |

I remember really liking the video for "Mediate", although I never got into "Kick" that much. I really liked "Welcome to Wherever You Are" when I got it in music club subscription, but apparently the album went nowhere commercially. |

| Cynaera (South of Neanderthal) | Posted: Mar 02, 2011 - 16:07 Maybe the fact that I have no memories, good or bad, associated with this song makes me objective enough to say that this song is nowhere near their best work, although I do love that sax. I never liked this song - I always preferred "Disappear" and "Suicide Blonde," probably because of the beat. (So, awright - I wasn't into slow-dancing, so maybe I'm NOT objective.) Anyway, I could never just sit and groove on this song. Still can't. Sorry. I loved INXS. RIP Michael. You selfish idiot. |
| coomerfan | Posted: Dec 15, 2010 - 15:57 This is our wedding song. First dance. |
| jimbaca (Albuquerque) | Posted: Dec 15, 2010 - 15:26 RIP Michael. You and the band were one of the best. |
| SinisterDexter | Posted: Oct 13, 2010 - 04:55 I was never a huge fan of INXS, but this is arguably their best song - especially with that wailing sax solo (although I always wished in went a little longer). |
| flapser | Posted: Aug 24, 2010 - 23:41 Classic :) |

| WonderLizard (2,755.46 mi. due east of Paradise) | Posted: Nov 30, 2009 - 08:10 In their prime, this was a terrific band. Listen Like Thieves and Kick were as good as anything produced in the '80s—and that would include U2 and R.E.M. RIP, Michael Hutchence |
