It sounds like a well behaved Mick Jagger...

It's a little late for whoever makes these decisions when it comes to rock and roll to tell the person who wrote the lyrics, often the music, hires the band and has the vision to shut up and let someone else sing.

Though there are a number of exceptions in bands where the leader/lyricist doesn't also usually take the lead vocal - Rush, Squeeze & the Who being the most notable among classic rock bands, just because Neil Pert, Chris Difford and Pete Townshend chose to hand off the lead vocal duties, they are not the norm.

Well, he is certainly no Josh Groban.  Would you really want Groban to sing Cherub Rock?  Not me.

Corgan, most definitely. He can be most subtle if he wants to be.

I was completely clueless about Zwan. I thought it might be a new Teargarden By Kaleidyscope track. Now I have to find "Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea"

Very surprised by the Mick Jagger associations. I guess I can understand it on a purely vocal pitch level, but as someone familiar with both vocalists inflection styles I doubt I would ever mistake the two.

Actually, it is Billy Corgan.  Not a lot of fanfare for his new project.

I don't give 1's on principle, because I have a hard time rating a song "sucko-barfo".

This is one of those songs that challenge me to stick to that principle.

Not bad, but I prefer the earlier Pumpkins stuff to their later stuff or Zwan's stuff.

This is a live recording from a 2002 Paris show. The whole "album" is excellent. I finally figured out how to download it and convert it. I play it all the time.
