Ok, like back when I was a kid I knew this guy that had a bigassed convertible buick and we glued/roped a pair of steer horns to the hood of the buckmaster and cruised to the beach smoking cigars and drinking beer and playing this song over and over.

Memories, eh!

Well, I guess you had to be there (listening to him, I mean, not in Kansas City)...but it does sort of give pause to consider what exactly is meant by the reference.
But that's beside the point. As usual, a great old original recording.

I was watching Jim Lampley one time on a satellite feed. He was in a commercial break but the feed was still rolling for those of us with a C-Band satellite. He hawked up a big loogey and spit on the floor. It was great.

A monumental classic. Thanks for playing this Bill...truly meeting the standard of the eclectic, intelligent radio.

This was one of my favorite songs that played at the roller rink when I was a kid. I loved this song because it was really good to two-step to.

Thanks for the blast-from-the-past Bill, you really know how to make this listener smile.

Interesting to hear you play this one, the original version is the best I think...I use to listen to this on the juke box in my parents bar when I was but a wee lass. Now I am one of those crazy little women!

Or how about the Beatles version? Yes, even the Beatles covered this tune, with Paul on vocals. I was quite the Beatle freak in 5th grade.....

One of the greatest songs in the history of music. I am convinced people will still be groovin' to this one in 500 years. I mean it.

I'm sure this is more authentic, but I like the Beatles' version.
