wondering from where the main piano lick emanates.  "Teotihuacan" from Noel Gallagher was the first place I heard it, but who gets the credit?

thanks in advance!

They sure did.  I guess the difference is that we were lucky enough to miss the dickish live performances —- we've seen em probably five times, and every time they just rocked there was no friggin tomorrow.

Funny you mention that. Echoing rah's comment below about Noel Gallagher's contribution to this track — it's also a reworking of Noel's "Teotihuacan" from the X-Files movie soundtrack, which is what I thought was being played at first. Surprise, surprise. Time for me to check out that Ian Brown album...

Oh, and this is good... as I was deciding whether or not to switch RP off and turn on Porcupine Tree's "Deadwing" (Pink Floyd triggered Porcupine Tree in my ear).

Ian made my decision to stay at RP ;-)

Right... strange that BRMC is from California, as they are pretty much the only band around today holding down the "Manchester Sound"...  Kasabian could too, but they are all over the place sometimes.

Well, yes and no, imo.  Just because Liam and Noel are a couple of idiots doesn't mean they didn't make some good music.  And, from what I've seen of Ian Brown on BBC, I'd be throwing stuff at him if I had the misfortune to attend one of his shows - and I was a huge Stone Roses fan.

Yea, what's with "jelani"? Who cares what it sounds like? Doesn't most music sound like "other" music? I quite enjoyed this track, having heard it for the first time. Not all of us are music historians. We just like what we like. It's all subjective. I don't "get" Mariah Carey fans - but I don't wish them a tortuous death, either.
