I was sitting in this really swank coffee shop waiting for my buddies to arrive on campus, cuz I was at a college reunion and had some time to kill.   So I’m sitting there drinking coffee and reading and waiting and waiting for like hours.  I got there a bit early, you see, and by now I am like totally jittery and a little paranoid cuz of the caffeine and all. And of course they were playing Jazz, non-stop.  But I was like thinkin’ to myself, this is like the SAME song being played over and over again!!  But it was a radio station, cuz there was an announcer between songs, spouting off all these illustrious Jazz legends’ names.  So finally I went up to the “barista” and started getting all Bill Bixby on her about the whole thing, yelling about this GOD DAMN JAZZ SONG THEY KEEP PLAYING OVER AND OVER!!!  Next thing I know she calls these two 300 lbs musclehead bouncers from the bar next door, and they’re like her buddies and all, and they freaking throw me through the glass door out onto the street ON MY ASS!  And I’m STILL furious over the jazz during all this, so the cops come and freaking TASER ME TO WITHIN AN IN OF MY LIFE, and to top it all off I spend the night in JAIL!  And I still swear it was the same god damn jazz song being played over and over again!!! UGH!!!   

Nice to have a little chill...a sorbet between more rocking songs.  I'd chew my arm off if this were the only type of music played here, but for an odd interval here & there, it's quite nice.

The operative word in this song is "stiff." I mean, seriously, do you really want Radio Paradise to turn into Elevator Jazz Central? This tune is horrifically nondescript and boring. There are a million "contemporary jazz" songs that sound very similar. Please don't muck up the airwaves with this...

Just in case nobody knows, live musicians played and recorded music specifically for this album, and the two DJs (actually the sons of the two funny fellas on the cover) mixed everything together. That's a fine form of electronica if you ask me :-) Glad this has still been well received!
