| Mari (île de lesvos) | Posted: Apr 22, 2008 - 21:09 KT Tunstall on going green Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has become one of a growing number of performers who are making their concerts greener. klik the link above to watch a recent interview on Scottish Television about this ever pertinent issue. Good on ya KT! ![]() | ||||||
| nate917 | Posted: Oct 02, 2007 - 12:38 In the video, her mouth doing the woo-hoo is hugely erotic. I forget the monotony of the song because I want to french kiss her so badly. | ||||||
| doitnow | Posted: Aug 01, 2007 - 07:37 This woman is so arrogant. Her rider for an hour long gig at a local hotel required that no meat be served in the bar where she was singing. it had to be all vegetarian. Also, NO ONE could eat while she was "singing" or looping he garbage she calls music. Hey KT, dont break your ankle coming down off your pedestal. Flash in the pan. Piss off. Your not that good to make such demands on a venue. | ||||||

Yeah. She's an overrated dorky retard, but it was the only song that acutally caught my interest from the show and made me want to learn more about the artist.

| stephq123 (Nashville, TN) | Posted: Mar 13, 2006 - 15:03 I saw her play live and perform this song, and the "kazoo" at the end is actually a sound she makes with her mouth. If anyone ever has the chance she is amazing to see in person. | ||||||
| pkimbrel (Normal, IL) | Posted: Jan 11, 2006 - 20:42 Ironic as it may be - given that this is a one-woman-band - but less would much more here. Whoo-hoo'd to death. She playing a kazoo there towards the end? | ||||||
| MKS (UK) | Posted: Jan 11, 2006 - 08:53 Actually, nuff respect to Miss KT Tunstall for doing this live, looped, solo etc. It ain't easy! If you think of this as power-street-busker stuff taken to the studio then it starts to make sense. Check out the video at http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=kt+tunstall. KT pwns Katie Melua anyhoo. Or should that be any-woohoo? | ||||||
| Bocephus (Boulder, CO) | Posted: Dec 28, 2005 - 08:50 make it stop...she sounds kinda like a second-rate Melissa Etheridge. | ||||||

hahahahaha. I kind of enjoy this, but after a few listens it might grate.

And the woo-hoos are only a distraction because they are incessant and strong, but their effectiveness would be altogether lost by any interruption or let up. So they persist. lester is right. In her live performances, the woo-hoo's (and everything else) are looped samples she does of herself. By the time she's added a bunch of different layers, the woo-hoo's are sort of an afterthought. It's pretty impressive to see her put it all together. Haven't gotten to see her live yet, but she's coming to Indy in February or March of next year and I'm excited. If you do a search on video.google.com for KT Tunstall, they have a live performance of this as well as a cover of "I Want you Back" by the Jackson 5. Good stuff! (Edit) Hmm...clapping at the end would suggest this IS live. But in all the performances I have seen, the woo-hoo's aren't as prominent.

WAPS ("91.3 The Summit") has been playing a de-owlificated version ("New and improved! with 75% less woo-hooo than the original!") which actually isn't too bad.
| Jerry_Scott (Stuttgart, Germany) | Posted: Nov 14, 2005 - 14:45 Just be glad you're not her backup singer. Woo-hoo. | ||||||
| islander (Seattle) | Posted: Nov 08, 2005 - 15:42 Just can't decide. The woohoos are odd and a bit distracting, but the music and singing is just groovy enough. I sort of want to rate it down, but I sort of want to rate it up too. Guess is stays a 7 for now. | ||||||

| MojoJojo (Indianapolis, IN USA) | Posted: Oct 21, 2005 - 08:49 I like it... let the verbal abuse begin. This song is destined for my iPod, and as such it will be a good song for me. I'm not saying it's a classic that will stand the test of time, but for now I'm heading to Utah for a "pretend-I'm-still-young" road trip/mountain bike trip with a college buddy. As soon as I heard this I knew it would fit this weekend very nicely. So there. | ||||||
| kitalyn414 (lost angeles, ca) | Posted: Oct 21, 2005 - 08:43 i actually like this song, though it is pretty clear i am in the minority. one thing's for sure... they play it quite a lot for a song with such bad reviews. woo hoo. woo hoo. woo hoo. woo hoo. woo hoo. woo hoo. | ||||||

| goldfish (Bucks,UK) | Posted: Oct 06, 2005 - 16:16 Oh crap, it's another owl infestation! Get it away!! I'm a little irritated that this made it to the RP playlist, what with it also being so highly ranked on nearly every commercial radio station these days, so I hear it way too often. | ||||||
