Oh brandog, that made me smile - here's an excerpt taken from the page that resolves to the link I've added at the end

Bands who've sampled KRAFTWERK

ARTIST: Information Society
ALBUM: Hack
DATE: 1990
TRACK: A Knife and a Fork
The intro of this song features Florian counting to 4 in German, from the intro of Showroom Dummies.
TRACK: Hack 1
This track has the sample of Florian saying "ein" from Showroom Dummies and a rhythm and interlude effect from the Computer World version of Home Computer. There is also something that sounds like a rearrangement of a Kraftwerk melody, but I can't put my finger on it.

ARTIST: Information Society
ALBUM: How Long (single)
DATE: 1990
TRACK: How Long (Psycholash Mix)
TRACK: How Long (Technolash Mix)
These tracks use (but do not sample) the melody of Pocket Calculator in the second verse and in the breakdown.

ARTIST: Information Society
ALBUM: Lay All Your Love on Me (single)
DATE: 1989
About this single John Turpin says: "The b-side to their ABBA cover is Funky at 45. It samples the German 1-8 counting from Numbers. On the 7" record, the mix is identified as The Augusta/Dusseldorf mix, tipping the hat to the birthplaces of two of their main influences: James Brown and Kraftwerk. In fact, all of the tracks where Information Society samples Kraftwerk, they also sample James Brown, usually at the same time. (Except for How Long.)"

Some other bands who've sampled KRAFTWERK
Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force
Chemical Brothers
Depeche Mode
Devo
Fat Boy Slim
The KLF (AKA the Jams AKA the Timelords)
2 Live Crew
Madonna
New Order
The Prodigy

Hmmmm. Lot of similarity in the Coldplay Talk, Talk we just heard and this Kraftwerk song's riff (pub 1990).

The Kraftwerk song is actually from 1981 (approximately). I guess 1990 is the date of reissue.

Thanks for playing this right after Coldplay's "Talk". I would have been driving myself crazy wondering, "Where have I heard that hook before?"
