This is more than I wanted
Take me out of the dark I roam in
Cold and black you are out of touch here
Lightly falling you whisper you're scared
It's the weight of the world I know
As I struggle to be whole
It's the weight of the world I know
As you are mine and we will find
This is stranger than love or loss
Turning backwards you face the dawning
No excuse for a wasted life
Lightly falling through a whisper of sky
It's the weight of the world I know
As I struggle to be whole
It's the weight of the world I know
As you are mine and we will find
Time will change
Still the world remains the same
Time will change
Still the world remains the same
It's the weight of the world I know
As I struggle to be whole
It's the weight of the world I know
As you are mine and we will find

| thaidirect | Posted: Jul 08, 2010 - 18:33 BRMC has a very cool sound, but they lose their luster after a few songs. |

| pjcle (Del Mar) | Posted: Jan 15, 2007 - 00:42 I think that was the first time i heard that song and the band name is long enough, i I'd have heard it before I would have remembered. Usually lyrics don't mean anything but I liked those. they were different and sounded heart-felt |

This song may be radio friendly, but the rest of the album has a different sound. |

| artmarcia (Derby, KS) | Posted: Oct 04, 2006 - 19:53 This is my request! Thanks Bill! I just saw the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club open for The Rolling Stones in Wichita. The lead singer is gorgeous--HOT HOT HOT! |

For my part, I think Howl is BRMC's strongest record to date, and more of the tracks off it ought to be played. Maybe I just like intelligible lyrics. People on RP use acronyms way too much, IMO. |

| ChardRemains (Pepperland) | Posted: Jul 31, 2006 - 09:52 Sounds like Tom Petty with gonads. Nice. |

Gotta agree - When I saw the name "Blak Rebel Motorcycle Club" pop up with the black "Howl" album cover I was expecting something akin to headbanging. But this is quite unexpected and quite good. |

When are people going to realize that it's not how 'hard' a song is, but the construction and balance of a song that really matters. In my mind, selling out is getting lazy. This is all IIRC, of course. For my part, I think Howl is BRMC's strongest record to date, and more of the tracks off it ought to be played. Maybe I just like intelligible lyrics. |

| hippiechick | Posted: Apr 12, 2006 - 09:32 Good song. Good album. |
| artmaven | Posted: Apr 01, 2006 - 18:15 Cool set. Nice play on the homophones "weight" and "wait" and then you wrap it up w/a "world" trifecta. You even got a similar sound w/the word "way" (way/wait/weight). Oh, and that's a play on weigh/way. You racked up some serious points there! Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Weight of the World Elvis Costello - Waiting for the End of the World World Party - Way Down Now Try this one: Talking Heads : Radio Head Radiohead : Talk Show Host |

It does sound like something they might write. But the voice/voices are all wrong. |

If you tied one ear behind my back and told me it was an undiscovered Crowded House tune I might fall for it. |
