Ick. Songs like this are why I listened to punk rock in the first place...plus the beginning seems to be Pink Floyd copy.

Aside from the fact that it was played to death on commercial stations, it's nice to hear this song here on RP. Personally, I'd prefer to hear Empire from the same album this song was on, but this is a nice break from some of the other genres played here. (Particularly the genres I don't care for. )

Loved Bill's comments on this one.

I do believe there was a clause in every 80s hair metal band's record contract stating that they must produce at least one cheesy ballad that sounds nothing like the rest of their songs.

This tradition dates back to at least the 70's with bands like Aerosmith and Kiss. "You See Me Crying", "Beth", etc.

Now if we could only get Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss added to the playlist, the metal meltdown will be complete.

Quite a heavy album for this crowd, but Seasons in the Abyss is still a great listen!

Yup, this is kinda akin to Black Sabbath's Planet Caravan, or Led Zep's No Quarter. The band rocks, and rocks hard, but this is probably their slowest, pop-iest material, and not really a good indication of their real range of musical expression.

Wait, I meant Jet City Woman... that's it. Still bad late 80's, early 90's hesher music but at least I never minded that one quite as much. Probably because it reminded me of LA Woman. Just a guess.

Echos of Spinal Tap

The group "Yes" but more pondering self-importance and less listen-worthy

IMHO, of course...

And I don't know about you, but wouldn't "Röck Döts" (with or without umlauts) be an excellent name for a rock band?

Holy hair band, Batman! What a flashback to 80s big hair radio, which my hometown station embraced for far too long. Oh, and nice umlaut
