Come around to this fine town
Where freedom makes the world go round
And where dreams are found
And carried out
Even in the afternoon
You can go there fishing for the moon
And the fairy lights
Glow like fireflies
Come on save it
Come on save it
Every single one
Come on save it
Come on save this town
Growing from diversity
Out of true originality
It's the place to be
And that's why
I fear the need to standardise
And I fear the guys with normal eyes
It's a precious child
Come give it a try
And we try
Every single one
Come on save it
Come on save this town
I know that we can't save this town alone
So this is why I say
Come on and raise your voice
And spread these words around:
Come on save it
Come on save it
Every single one
Come on save it
Come on save this town

I thought the exact same thing! as for the singer, does any one else hear Bastard Faries? |
| aaehr (NYC) | Posted: Oct 18, 2007 - 13:04 bizzare - the groove, the accents, the trumpet, the texture. I think they have a future. |

I can't believe they are actually playing this! You were definitely right that you won't find this anywhere else.....they are a Dannish group that has not definitely not hit the US yet. I saw them perform live, and the experience was completely amazing. Their CD leaves a bit to be desired, but live they are a totally different story. On stage, they had up to 8 people. The lead singer with her soothing and sexy voice was amazing. The male singer that they sometimes collaborate with would interact with the lead singer in a way that almost led you to believe you were watching a play. There was someone on electrical guitar. They had someone on cello. They had somoen on trumpet. They had one DJ playing the background goove with the beat. They had another DJ cutting and scratching. And finally, they had andother "DJ" of sorts on a computer who was manipulating in real time the feed from some of the instruments. You would hear the trumpet, but only softly, because what was going into the mike was being sent to the computer where he could manipulate it and then mix it into the rest of the song whenever he wanted. This was the first and only time that I have experienced and heard this kind of music. Is this a "genre"? Are there groups here in the US that perform like this or play that kind of music? Do you mean performance technique? Try Fat Freddie & the Drop (NZ) or AfroCelts (UK) and try try to get out a bit more often..... |
| contractor07 (Ann Arbor Michigan) | Posted: May 14, 2007 - 10:45 sounds pretty good |
| webslinger48 | Posted: Feb 25, 2007 - 11:35 This is a great song, good find. I checked out the album and some of the songs on it are even better. But this was played on the OC, hence it gets the airtime. |

| Ngoziman (Ngoziland) | Posted: Aug 03, 2006 - 11:57 Nice groove, but spoiled by the almost incessant clapping sound. What's that about - it doesn't need it!? |
| Verpeiler | Posted: Jul 05, 2006 - 03:39 That´s a nice, fun song for a beautiful sunny Wednesday. The voice reminds me (in parts) of the singer of Morcheeba. I´ll give it a 7, but I´m sure it´ll will go up to 8 next time. |
