Your voice
Morphine in my ear
I see you down there
Holding on to me
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger
You're holding on to this thread
Connecting you to me
I'm filled with laughing gas and polluted air
This silk lasso 'round my neck
It's pulling me down
Down gently
Gently
I'm softly exhaling
You give me release
I'm softly exhaling
You give me release
You leave me deflated
You give me release
My own private Balloon Ranger
You know what I need
You know what I need
You know what I need
You know what I need
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger
Balloon Ranger

| Baby_M (a 100+-year old building in downtown Akron, Ohio) | Posted: Jul 22, 2011 - 07:50 Balloon Ranger sounds like the title of a pulp adventure novel about Zeppelins, published about 1906 or so. Like the song. |

| Frater_Kork (Uppsala, Sweden) | Posted: Jul 22, 2011 - 07:47 My thoughts go to Norway. While Ane plays in the speakers people are getting rushed to hospitals in Oslo from the large bomb blast in the city centre just an hour ago. =( |

| ziggytrix (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Feb 14, 2011 - 15:03 So I'm not really sure how to rate this one. I've heard it many times now, and it's a well put together tune. Quite a bit catchy in places. But the chorus annoys the enamel right off of my teeth. It's like hearing some obnoxious lake bird honking over and over during an otherwise tranquil day. |

| Byronape (Purgatory) | Posted: Jan 14, 2011 - 08:36 So what does a Balloon Ranger do? Walk around the balloons and look for fallen strings and balloon fires? |

| No_Where_Man (Southern Ca.) | Posted: May 09, 2010 - 02:08 Just saw her at the Largo in L.A. last night. The night before she was at the Hollywood Bowl with Peter Gabriel. She was perfect and very nice to us all. In person her voice is perfect. There were only about 60 of us and she took the time to thank us all and sign for us. She is as sweet and sincere as they come. I wish all could see her sing, it is a treat I would do it again in a heart beat. |

My guitar just agreed. Definitely Bm. If you are trying to play it on guitar, it is capo II, the main figure is just Am, Dm, ( Relative to the capo of course,) with a C passing note between chords in both directions. If you are trying to play it on another instrument, it is Bm, Em with a D passing note. |

That's because the jerks at partytimegiftshop.com have decided to switch their (much smaller) image of a power ranger costume for a HUGE warning when it's linked from somewhere else than their page. They should be happy that they're getting free ads out, but they're obviously not that bright. Oh well. Either the posters will remove the references to this image, or newer comments will slowly push the broken images to page 2. (Or Bill fixes the comment stylesheet so that wide content will scroll rather than break the page layout.) EDIT: Looks like he did just that. Thanks, Bill! |

| mandolin (...drifting...) | Posted: Nov 02, 2007 - 09:19 ...there's a stunningly gorgeous episode of survivorman where les stroud crashes a hot air balloon in the south african veldt...this song doesn't neccessarily remind me of that episode, but that episode nicely epitomises a balloon ranger motif... |
