She rhymes "back" with "back." Minus style points.

I have the same reaction, I was singing along to Charging Sky in the car this morning on my way to work in the pouring rain.

Holy CARP! That was really amazing. Her command of tone is stunning. Made all the more so by the no-budget production of the clip. Wonderful!

Personally, I think it's a brilliant cover and a good tune as well.  I'm not sure what either of you find "terrible" about it.

The production is brilliant - so naive, innocent, and yet perfectly so. A band with the awareness of a cagey, sarcastic band, but the sincerety of an innocent folk singer.

I'm really digging Jenny and the Twins. Yes they are really twins; Jenny and the Twins were on Letterman a few months back. Yes, the album cover is really freakin' creepy. The Watson Twins appeared equally creepy on Dave's show; it's obviously their schtick. Or they're just really creepy; it happens.

Jenny reminds me a bit of Neko Case, another fave. And Hank Dogs, who give me chills (both the good AND the creepy kind!)

I'm surprised at the negativity towards this. When I first heard it I assumed RP folks would be really into it. Oh well, different strokes.

I watched the video on her website. LOVE IT! The rapidly-fading smiles is the best part; they KNOW they're creepy! The original Hee-Haw is actually really funny to watch now; they KNEW it was totally cheesy, and ran with it. It's like 'Dumb and Dumber' for C&W fans. Say what you will about 'that' kind of music; Roy could freakin' PLAY. And Buck (R.I.P.) created a new kind of country sound.
Yeah, it ain't everyone's cup o' java, but that's why we listen to RP; to hear stuff outside the over-produced, over-censored, market-researched, Arbitron-chasing, all-commercial-all-the-time Broadcast Radio. Clear Channel is in league with the devil; their headquarters are literally a stone's throw from where I'm sitting. So a tactical strike is out of the question...

Well, you know, for the sake of showmanship and an album cover, they may just make an exception.

This one always reminds me of the quote from the movie Adaptation: "You are what you love, not what loves you."

I also like it because it has a retro sound to it, like when Patty Duke would do a song on her show in the 60's.

Also, are those real twins or trick photography? Most twins I know get sick of wearing the same clothes as their twin by about the age of eight.
