Whether or not we are aware
we are being judged somewhere
every action every thought you think
is etched on you indelibly.
Do I take you as I find you
despite your reputation?
I'm an angel by comparison.
Getting drawn in.
So much older.
I know I'm searching
there's nothing here.
Sacred Life you seem to lead me
far away from what I'm here for.
If all I've seen and felt is true
why do I feel this way for you?
Do I take you as I find you
despite your reputation?
I'm an angel by comparison.

| jcioban (Between NYC and Boston) | Posted: Dec 15, 2012 - 16:26 What ever happened to Hank Dogs??? Weird family dynamics aside, they seemed talented. |
| CanuckMakem (Medicine Hat) | Posted: Nov 14, 2012 - 07:29 Sounds like The Cranberries doing country. |

| martinc (Ottawa Canada) | Posted: Jul 11, 2012 - 11:34 PSD button really enhances the eclectic nature of RP. I just realized that you can keep clicking on it until you get something you want from the RP library. Each click is quite a revelation and shows the breadth of tunes just waiting for us |
| cc_rider (Austin Texas. Y'all.) | Posted: Dec 02, 2011 - 08:43 I love this album. I can't explain why. |

| jcioban (Between NYC and Boston) | Posted: Apr 25, 2011 - 14:46 Such an elegant composition for individuals with a rough and tumble history. sort of why music is so interesting. And why people are so complex..... |
| scrubbrush (Sea of Calm) | Posted: Apr 25, 2011 - 14:44 Sounds like the singer for The Cranberries... is it? |
| Geecheeboy (under a crescent moon and palmetto tree) | Posted: Jan 21, 2011 - 08:09 That's what Bareback means. Everybody knows that, as Mr. Cohen would say. |

| moonsaura (Baltimore, Maryland) | Posted: Nov 19, 2010 - 05:30 very nice - this is what makes rp so awesome. listening + learning about indies i would not have a chance to otherwise.... |

| BlueHeronDruid (petewa) | Posted: Mar 09, 2010 - 22:13 Much better than the dogs/M16 song. Maybe because it's not overplayed here like that was. |
| guiguy (Near Mt.Fuji) | Posted: Mar 09, 2010 - 22:12 Superb, wish they'd come out with another CD. |
| Cruzan (AUSTIN, TX) | Posted: Feb 06, 2010 - 09:55 is this RP or NPR? man, what is going on with the playlist today hopefully it's not a format change........... |

| agnes (heaven) | Posted: Feb 24, 2009 - 08:56 Ugh. I feel like I'm sitting in Hell's coffee shop on open mic night. The guitar is great, but seriously, what the bleep is going on with those half-assed vocals?!?!?!! |
| fredriley (Nottingham, UK) | Posted: Dec 23, 2008 - 04:28 "every action and every thought you think is etched on you indelibly" - I bloody well hope not, given the cobblers that goes through my mind on a regular basis! Nice to hear another Hank Dogs number on RP after the '18 dogs' one. 7 from the Nottingham jury, which is still wondering who Hank is and does he go dogging? ;-) |
| jhorton | Posted: Nov 21, 2008 - 14:31 Damn, I LOVE this piece!! |

Word is that they have big dogs that could tear a fella like you into pieces. It is indeed his daughter (and his wife). I was thinking, gosh, the girl sounds just like her mom. But that's not her mom; she's his daughter from a previous marriage. So there you go. Beautiful stuff. |
| pannaramma (not from around here) | Posted: Aug 07, 2007 - 06:21 What a lovely guitar intro. Lovely throughout actually |

| cc_rider (Austin Texas. Y'all.) | Posted: Jan 31, 2007 - 17:02 MinMan, you are funny! I love THAT song too. I first heard Hank Dogs on another (lesser) online station. Took a couple days to hear several songs from 'Bareback', but after three, including the title track, I got up from my desk and walked across the street to the record store and bought it. Hank Dogs just grabs me somehow. Maybe it IS Celtic yammering, but so what? 'Bareback' is a stunning album all the way through. c. |

| eskles | Posted: Jan 02, 2007 - 12:00 You know, I can be as hedonistic as the next person, but what the hell does the woman's looks have to do with the music? Why don't all you people making those comments go listen to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake and leave the rest of us alone. BTW - agree with the Cranberries comments, the music is OK, but nothing killer. |

The woman in the right is absolutely stunning. Word is that they have big dogs that could tear a fella like you into pieces. |
| auburntigerrich (Mesa, AZ) | Posted: Dec 04, 2006 - 09:51 Tasty. If the rest of the album is as magical as this, then I'll be forced to pick it up. |
