| Misterfixit (Nashville) | Posted: Jun 14, 2012 - 09:37 Oh, Mr. Burnside! Glory Be! Yes, you are Up There in The Glory now, and may The Lord rest your righteous soul. Here is a "Toast" to you! "Oh Mister B, Glory Be; Oh Mister B, The Glory you see; Lord Love You and me!" (Look up the description of "Toast" in re: this artist). Dave |
| Jacquies21 | Posted: Jun 01, 2012 - 11:06 What's the guitar riff in this song? I keep thinking that I've heard it before but I can't quite get it..... |
| bluecshells | Posted: Jun 01, 2012 - 09:33 Nice groove... |
| scrubbrush (Sea of Calm) | Posted: Apr 30, 2012 - 16:03 I love that this has a blues-meets-hip-hop vibe. RL was born in 1926 (died in 2005). That's crazy. Awesome stuff for a guy who was around during the depression. |

| unclehud (300 feet above the planet) | Posted: Apr 14, 2011 - 11:47 REAL blues are an acquired taste, and I LOVE this! (Mr. Burnside was probably playing guitar before I was born ... and I'm a member of AARP.) EDIT: He has an album named "A Ass Pocket of Whisky?" Got to get that! Sounds like most folks at the college football games around here ... |

| flatpicker (Toronto, Canada) | Posted: Aug 04, 2010 - 11:31 This is such a cool album. Lot's of fun stuff on that disc. I realize it's essentially all remixes, and released after his death, But it's terrific and totally worth spending the money on. |

Like it Something to keep in mind here is that this album/song is a reworking of RLs work. Someone below made the comment that it sounded like it was produced by Moby. It wasn't, but at the same time it's not like the real RL albums. This isn't to say that it's bad or inferior, just that it's different. If you like this track, do check out the whole album. I think it's great. And, if you dig raw, gritty blues, then definitely check out other RL albums. Burnside on Burnside, Ass Pocket of Whiskey, &tc. Echoing below, RL was the real deal. |
| twitterpated | Posted: Jun 17, 2010 - 16:08 Well, he certainly is bothering me with how many times he says he isn't bothering anyone in this song. . . :) |
