| bachbeet | Posted: May 12, 2013 - 20:58 Liked his work from when I first heard him in the Yardbirds. Rod Stewart did his best stuff with Beck, including a terrific version of People Get Ready. |

| Old_Pat (Belgium) | Posted: Jan 07, 2013 - 12:04 Can't remember when where or why this dropped off my regular play rotation.... wonder if I still have it. Amazing. |
| kingart (Brooklyn NY) | Posted: Jan 07, 2013 - 12:03 Boosted it to a 9. Can't not do it. |
| Pitjes (North Germany) | Posted: Dec 07, 2012 - 03:32 If anybody is interested in some background information about this guy, please read the book from Julian Dawson about Nicky Hopkins A Rock Legend, who played the piano for the Rolling Stones, and for Mr. Beck, and amongst others for Quicksilver Messenger Service, and they must be played here, please! |
| hbs47 (SE England) | Posted: Dec 07, 2012 - 03:01 Saw him last year and a really great show. Amazingly he only used ONE guitar (Strat) all evening. |
| martinc (Ottawa Canada) | Posted: Oct 05, 2012 - 08:27 Saw him here recent and it was a great show. Except for one tune all instrumental. Blistering guitar and solid supporting band. |
| WonderLizard (2,755.46 mi. due east of Paradise) | Posted: Oct 05, 2012 - 08:26 Without him, there would have been no Vai, Satriani, Eric Johnson, or Les Dudek. One-man wrecking ball on guitar. |
| idiot_wind | Posted: Oct 05, 2012 - 08:25 Wow! Does anybody remember way back in the 1970s...when you have dozens of guitar players with bands that were experimenting with all kinds of variations of rock n roll? What we got today? Thud and drone crap from Foo Fighters, Linkin park, Nickel back, etc. Rock n roll RIP. Oh well, I guess there is still "country" music. |

Just listen for the finger screeching on the strings. No over produced crap like today. And people wonder why these guys still attract good crowds at live shows. I saw Beck on TV...amazing and the guy has to be almost 65! Apparently, he's 68. Great song and fantastic musicianship all around. |
| coloradojohn (A Mile High and then some, Cherry Creek, Denver) | Posted: Jul 18, 2012 - 08:00 Sweet! It always sounded good to me from when it first came out, but I gained a whole new appreciation of Beck when a classmate at E-school had such a deep fervor for his stuff and played it constantly, along with lots of obscure Yes, King Crimson, Tangerine Dream and the like...mighty good stuff to study to! |

| johnjconn (chicago land) | Posted: Jul 18, 2012 - 07:58 I saw Beck perform this at the old Cominski Park in Chicago in 77. He was back up to Aerosmith During this song the right flield bleachers caught fire. Neat song to play while a staduim of +60,000 started on fire. |
| WayUpNorth | Posted: Jul 18, 2012 - 07:57 Another gem of a "record" bought for pocket change at the second-hand music shop known as Plastic Fantastic ... those were the days! |

| drictor (Victor, ID, Cultural center of the universe!) | Posted: Mar 29, 2012 - 13:28 Got this album when it first came out (I was still in high school) and it still sounds great! |

| d-don (Oregon) | Posted: Sep 21, 2011 - 10:30 My earlier 9 just went to 10 this morning. All those people hatin' on Fats Domino two songs ago who switched stations - I rest my case. |

I certainly can't play like Mr. Beck (did my best), but the tunes were fun, the rhythm section was great, and the crowd liked 'em. Actually had my guitar in hand, picking along with AfroCubism... until this came on, then I gracefully bowed out to at least enjoy listening... |
| xtalman (What dimension?) | Posted: Mar 16, 2011 - 09:52 Just saw a PBS special with him in honor of Les Paul. Still can jam. was the local PBS stations begging week. |
