I saw these guys open at a U2 conference in Oakland way back about 20 years ago. I still don't know what to make of them. I must respectfully disagree with what some folks are saying about them lacking talent; IMHO they are talented (you try being a singer-songwriter and see how it goes...). But somehow it just never quite gels for me. I bought one CD years and years ago and that was it. I think it's because most of the songs felt like this...they just don't go anywhere.

"Oh crap. Well, how about this: I'll just play a few really easy chords, and you scream something about being 'naked' at the top of your lungs, over and over again."
"Um, why would we want to do that?"
"Well, because sex sells. As soon as you shout the word 'naked,' every college-age kid who's paying more attention to their beer than to us will perk up and instinctively start whooping and cheering."
"Brilliant! They'll never notice our lack of talent."

About the same number of £££s of ours that our lovely government have given those lovely people in Northern Rock.

Who said 'incompetence'?

I wonder if that is what's his name? Oh yes, Gordon Brown, on the drums...
