Just simply beautiful.

If you like the Mohan Vina sound, check out Harry Manx. Nice blend of blues and classical Indian ragas, etc.

Fun, yes - but without hard work, perseverance and passion we would never have the treasures this man has gifted us with. Hope he has great commercial rewards as a byproduct, because he sure has brought some wonders to light.

The two songs you refer to are by Eddie Vedder and the late great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Ry Cooder played on both tracks, but V.M Bhatt did not. Cooder is on a coulpe other tracks on that soundtrack, most notably "In Your Mind" by Johnny Cash.

I own this album. It's an amazing blend of slide blues guitar, Indian guitar and percussion. Tremendously cool vibe if you're in a mellow mood...When I play it, people always ask who it is.

Nice gathering, maybe a lil' too much of Ry in the mix, as usual with him, as he apparently cannot refrain for taking the lead. Buena Vista Social Club - esp. the film - suffered IMHO from the same imbalance.

Not sure I like this - Ry Cooder always knows how to push the boundaries, may have pushed too far with this. I still love the sound of that guitar though!
