Good music is good music, regardless from where it is. I suggest you open your mind a bit. I'd certainly have it on my iPod and I have no idea where their 'hometown' is. Oh. . . and to suggest your kids listen to 'better' music than this suggests you don't think even their taste is up to scratch. . . and that my friend, is very telling in that you think they have a lesser 'taste' in music than yourself. If I were one of your kids I'd tell you to fuck off. . . . just my opinion. . . nothing personal. :) |

| Dave_Mack (Five bus, Jive bus!) | Posted: Sep 03, 2009 - 08:42 I like it, especially with the trombone way up in the mix. Don't hear that every day. My daughter did a dance routine to an Angelique Kidjo song, so I have a soft spot for her. |
| Xeric (Up on the Roof) | Posted: Aug 02, 2009 - 19:58 Okay, I'm trying to bear in mind that even the best "best-of" albums have a few clinkers on 'em. . . . |

| RadioDoc (Chicagoland) | Posted: Apr 29, 2009 - 14:26 Had RP turned down for a phone call and thought the radio had drifted to the adjacent-frequency soft-office-rock station. Which doesn't say much for this tune. 5 |
| anotherlistener | Posted: Feb 25, 2009 - 13:15 Nice beat, I can dance to it. Oh wait I can't dance. Still, not bad 6. |

| greyfin10 (Panama City, FL) | Posted: Dec 24, 2008 - 08:22 One of the rare songs that captured me in the first 2 seconds. Tough, aggressive grooves are irrestible sometimes I guess. The main vocal part of the song is less impressive, but I still like it (take the meh with the great I always say... well... I just said it. Maybe I'll say it again someday). |

| bicycle4peace (the woods of northeast CT) | Posted: May 17, 2008 - 10:36 Angelique! Emphasis on the "angel"! I had the very good fortune of seeing this dynamic ball of energy for the third time. Front row center, too! By the end of the show, the whole audience was invited to, and came on, the stage to dance and sing w/Angelique. Families with children, teens, and old folks, as well as forty-somethings like me, we all danced with Angelique & the band. A great time at the Calvin Theater in Northampton this winter. |
| Excelsior | Posted: May 17, 2008 - 09:49 I wish I could give this a hundred ratings of "1." |

| Jelani (Woodstock, New York) | Posted: Feb 16, 2007 - 15:54 they should play "Adouma" her tune that Santana TOTALLY screwed up. She does it smokin hot! It's a shame no one plays it. Even radio stations think it's a Santana tune.BLECHHHH!!! |

| davin (Victoria, British Columbia) | Posted: Dec 05, 2006 - 10:24 This reminds me of music from a game called Sonic The Hedgehog. So call this video game music or call video game music good. |
| AphidA (Alexandria, VA) | Posted: Dec 05, 2006 - 10:21 I guess crappy synth pop is just better when it's "World Beat", huh? . . . the horses - they're medicinal. |
| smadanayr (Anglesey U.K.) | Posted: Sep 08, 2006 - 15:29 Now this, really is odd. Its like your standard early 90's female pop stuff, with the synth drums etc. Then its all foreign. Hmm. A 5. |
