Blue, blue caravan, winding down to the valley of lights
My true love is a man who would hold me for ten thousand nights
In the wild, wild wailing of wind, he's a house 'neath a soft yellow moon
So blue, blue caravan, won't you carry me down to him soon?
Blue, blue caravan, won't you drive away all of these tears?
For my true love is a man that I haven't seen in years
He said, "Go where you have to, for I belong to you until my dying day"
So like a fool, blue caravan, I believed him and I walked away
Oh, my blue, blue caravan, oh the highway is my great wall
For my true love is a man who never existed at all
Oh, he was a beautiful fiction I invented to keep out the cold
But now, my blue, blue caravan, I can feel my heart growing old
Oh, my blue, blue caravan, I can feel my heart growing old
| AndyJ (Oregon) | Posted: May 20, 2013 - 11:40 Her soft voice comes out very clearly is played in the dark and small hours before dawn... The time when memories come calling... and ghosts haunt... Headphones help the affect... This another reason to listen to RP. Not something the machines-would-play-based-on-my-interests-and payola-from record-companies... Shun the robots. Support the humans-! |

| Grammarcop (A mitten surrounded by water) | Posted: May 09, 2013 - 05:50 I heard the other day that Vienna Teng has taken up residence in Ann Arbor while she is working on a degree master's degree in global sustainability at the University of Michigan. I'll have to look for her at the football games. |

Yeah. And she whispers it. As a guy, it was a little chilling. Gotta go with a nine. Poetry. |

And then I bought a reviewers copy of this album for $1. I ought to pay to see her play to justify the bargain. It seems pretty clear that there are no electronic gimmicks used in her music. |
| Roguewarer (Southfield, MI) | Posted: Mar 14, 2012 - 07:17 I think a lot of her stuff sounds a bit forced. I'm really liking this, though. |
| kingart (Brooklyn NY) | Posted: Mar 05, 2012 - 12:22 Sensuous, sexy voice. Nice piano, too. |
| ziakut (The Windy City) | Posted: Mar 05, 2012 - 12:19 Love this tune. Every time I hear it...it gets better and better. How is that possible? This is just an intelligent, well arranged and sung tune. Though I have to say that I like the title of the album the way I originally read it..."Dreaming Through The Nose!" |
| bluecshells (EARTH) | Posted: Mar 01, 2012 - 09:39 This keeps getting better. |
| ufamsm (Austin, TX, USA) | Posted: Feb 23, 2012 - 09:31 Get goosebumps every time, and flashbacks of seeing her play this here in Austin last year. Agree with prior posters, she puts on an amazingly intimate show. Best way I can describe her as, "Kinda like Tori Amos/chick with piano music, except she has a background in software engineering so she just comes out and says it instead of hiding behind metaphors about fairies and pixies and whatnot." |
| Carl (The Summit City) | Posted: Feb 21, 2012 - 20:00 We got to see her at an intimate venue here recently. Just she and her piano and sampling machine, a la Imogen Heap. She has great audience interaction (helped by us being at a table a few feet away) and puts on a wonderful show—very charming and engaging. What a talent! |

| sarahurban (Houston) | Posted: Sep 24, 2011 - 22:24 One of my all time favorite songs. Ever. I am a huge fan of Vienna Teng. Saw her in Houston. Amazing. Agree with Bill. She nails every single note. She sounded as good if not, if such a thing were possible, better live. It was a singular experience for me. Even went by myself dateless to a dinner theater where she had many fans. |
