![]() Broken Boy Soldier (2006) [ larger cover art ] |
Down upon your hands and knees
Underneath the poplar trees
Digging through sticks and stones
Looking for store bought bones
Waiting on the rising sun
Clutching at your holstered gun
Praying on a shooting star
That I can be wherever you are
Looking through a telescope
Maybe there's a sign of hope
Leaving everything behind
Stirring a store bought mind
Sitting at the edge of a seat
Wishing you were here by me
Sifting through the mud and the bricks
Looking for a store bought fix
You can't buy
What you can't find
What you can't buy
What you find
What you can't buy
What you can
You can't buy
What you can't find
What you can
You can't buy
What you can't find
What you can
Buy what you find
What you can't find
What you can
You can't buy
What you can't find
What you can
You can't buy
What you can't find
What you can

| Sideorder (Portland, OR) | Posted: Apr 03, 2012 - 09:44 Man, I hope JW keeps making Raconteurs albums. They are both gems. Saw them play a surprise show in a club while my wife was 7 months pregnant. A classic memory! |

| billybob123 (Southern California) | Posted: Nov 28, 2011 - 12:52 the keyboard opening reminds me of an olf Emerson Lake & Palmer song. Can't quite place it |

| siloco (Tampa, FLA) | Posted: Mar 20, 2007 - 09:46 definetly not the best song from their record. They're recording a new record currently. I can't wait to hear it. |
| Bocephus (Boulder, CO) | Posted: Mar 20, 2007 - 09:46 is that a guitar run though a synth or a keyboard? I like... |
| yclept (above high tide and into the green grass) | Posted: Dec 20, 2006 - 14:47 a thin and wimpy shadow of Deep Purple...to sandwich this between the Who and Hendrix is certain death |
| daveesh (birthplace of the american revolution) | Posted: Dec 20, 2006 - 14:45 i like it. |
| black321 (Bong Island) | Posted: Nov 21, 2006 - 11:02 saw them open for Dylan last week. Enjoyed the show but found a little too much discord in the music and Jack White is a tad too sloppy live for my tastes. Good performance though. Definitely not something most Dylan fans appreciated, although they got some decent applause. |

| ThePoose | Posted: Nov 21, 2006 - 11:01 With the cover art on this album, they should call themselves the Racoonteurs. |
