Breathing in the night
There's nothing else I'm needing now
The wind is at my side
And so are you
And together we will rise
Above all these word and promises we couldn't keep
Together we will fly above it all
But sometimes we will fall
From the light
But it shines on us tonight
And together we will rise
And together we will rise
And surely it's a sign now,
That everything's in tune to some kind of higher plan
Surely it's a sign
That you were right
And there's the secret line
That we've been denied
But we're crossing it tonight
And together we will rise
And together we will rise
Sometimes we will fall
From the light
But it shines on us tonight
And together we will rise
Pass this line
That we're crossing here tonight
But together we will rise
And together we will rise
We will rise, we will rise

| rednred (San Francisco, CA) | Posted: Dec 13, 2012 - 12:57 Caught Glen and the Frames live two days in a row in October in San Francisco. On Saturday night they played a killer show at The Fillmore, playing until almost 1:00AM in that legendary venue. His passion and commitment to the music come through in every song. The next afternoon he played a great set at The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, one of the great (and free!) music festivals in the world each year, outdoors in Golden Gate Park. At both shows Levon Helm's horn section were a nice complement to The Frames music. |

Love Glen Hansard. Me too, love him. If you get a chance to see the Frames live, jump on it. Best live band ever. |

| jhorton | Posted: Jun 19, 2011 - 16:51 Saw Glen the night before last, solo acoustic, right here on Cape Cod. Highly recommended, if you ever get a chance to see him like that. His voice is exquisite, can't think of anything he can't do. Highlights were a gorgeous drop d cover of Tim Buckley's, " Buzzin' Fly," and a couple of verses of, " Into The Mystic." Stunning talent! |

| zipper | Posted: Sep 14, 2010 - 16:06 It is a powerful song... but it makes me giggle. I had a neighbor who sang (a bit over the top like this) and played guitar in various spots around the city. He would ask me to sit and listen to him play at home. I could never keep a straight face. |
| scrubbrush | Posted: Sep 14, 2010 - 15:57 Holy $#!+ that song is awesome. immediate 9. buying it tonight. it'll be a 10 in the morning |

| Rachoh (Boston) | Posted: Mar 07, 2010 - 19:18 They had one of the best live performances I've ever been too — not a breath heard during this song... |
| wbeaver | Posted: Feb 04, 2010 - 07:32 Sounded Buckley-esque to me. I like that fact more than some of the other commenters. Not as good as Buckley, and not a rip-off either. I think Hansard is good in all his various projects, and I liked this tune enough to log in and comment instead of letting it "just go by" |
