Caught Glen and the Frames live two days in a row in October in San Francisco. On Saturday night they played a killer show at The Fillmore, playing until almost 1:00AM in that legendary venue. His passion and commitment to the music come through in every song. The next afternoon he played a great set at The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, one of the great (and free!) music festivals in the world each year, outdoors in Golden Gate Park. At both shows Levon Helm's horn section were a nice complement to The Frames music.

The lead vocalist and chief songwriter for the Frames for many years, the fabulous perfomer in the film Once, who continued the partnership established in that film in the Swell Season, who is just a great great vocalist- and judging by his off and on-stage behaviour at Pearl Jam's 20th Anniversary festival, one hell of a nice guy.

Saw Glen the night before last, solo acoustic, right here on Cape Cod. Highly recommended, if you ever get a chance to see him like that. His voice is exquisite, can't think of anything he can't do. Highlights were a gorgeous drop d cover of Tim Buckley's, " Buzzin' Fly," and a couple of verses of, " Into The Mystic."

Stunning talent!

It is a powerful song... but it makes me giggle. I had a neighbor who sang (a bit over the top like this) and played guitar in various spots around the city. He would ask me to sit and listen to him play at home. I could never keep a straight face.

Sounded Buckley-esque to me.  I like that fact more than some of the other commenters.  Not as good as Buckley, and not a rip-off either.  I think Hansard is good in all his various projects, and I liked this tune enough to log in and comment instead of letting it "just go by"

I also thought Buckley but for me that's high praise rather than a slagging off.  Oh and Hanio Ben Harpers latest album has some great songs with him rocking out.
