Going for some classic stuff I'd recommend -besides anything by Paco de Lucía-, "Frente a Frente", a very nice record by Manolo Sanlúcar and Vicente Amigo:

Great tune to follow Calexico - I don't think I would have ever found this the least bit interesting if you hadn't gotten me so hooked on Calexico - you are probably opening a lot of doors for a lot of people.
