| copymonkey (in the northeast, but not near anywhere cool) | Posted: Jan 14, 2009 - 09:01 Jerry Lee is sort of rockabilly version of Mel Tillis—-when he speaks he's damn-near unintelligible, but when he sings you can hear every word—thank goodness for that. |
| stkman (Texas) | Posted: Dec 28, 2008 - 13:08 not the "killers" best but hell he's still good |

| andrewimft (North Californie) | Posted: Sep 10, 2008 - 00:21 I thought this was Dread Zeppelin... actually was surprised it was Jerry Lee instead of Tortelvis. This tune kind of lends itself to this kind of arrangement what with the melody and the words being very much from the tradition of those 50's rock songs. Interesting, but the original metal version does much more for me, like basically it just rocks... this sort of snoozes along but I give it a decent rating for being interesting. |
| Art_Carnage (DeepintheheartofTexas) | Posted: Jul 08, 2008 - 18:58 This song exceeds the government maximum allowed limit of awesomeness. |
| bluedot (Long Beach, CA) | Posted: Jun 21, 2008 - 23:44 did anyone see jerry lee lewis on the grammies w/john fogerty? he was COMPLETELY OUT OF IT for whatever reason. little richard was also frightening in his part of this segment, but at least he still appeared to be actually playing his piano. OTOH he only looked like little richard because some mortician appears to have done a serious makeup job on him. comments welcome! %^D |

LOL! |
| theanniewithin | Posted: May 21, 2008 - 13:18 :puke: I've used this too many times (whether in my head or reviewing) with what Bill is playing today. It hasn't been a good day for me musically..... |
| Ericac (Lakeville, MN) | Posted: May 21, 2008 - 13:11 I'm sure Jerry Lee Lewis lit up more than one piano. Smokin! |
| alevin | Posted: Apr 28, 2008 - 03:20 I just love the images conjured when listening of Jerry pounding away at the piano like it was a giant drum kit. Elvis Presley allegedly said that if he could play the piano like Jerry Lee Lewis, he'd quit singing. |

Of course not. Jerry Lee's piano goes to 12. |
| Art_Carnage (DeepintheheartofTexas) | Posted: Apr 05, 2008 - 08:14 Great Balls of Zeppelin! |

Well said. It doesn't have as much frenetic energy as his earlier stuff. It was my first time hearing it and I was dissapointed, though I usually love him. I did turn it up though... :) |
| xc_para_puravida | Posted: Jan 30, 2008 - 14:46 A synergistic musical montage! Rock-n-Roll lives! |

Everything about this project is hilarious. The cover, the name of the album, "You remember me, doncha?" What a character! |

| olsaltybastard | Posted: Jan 16, 2008 - 14:20 Very cool rendition!! Much better than some talentless jackoff doing a karaoke version. |

Yeah, no kidding--a bit o' mixed-way-back rhythm guitar, two bars of solo, and you get to say "With Jimmy Page." Well, maybe it sold some albums for 'em. Something had to. . . . |
| zevon (Red Sox Nation.) | Posted: Nov 14, 2007 - 19:08 Jerry Lee's been rockin' da house since before I was born. And that's a looooong friggin time. Lonely lonely time, according to this song. |

| rocco1207 ("the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat") | Posted: Aug 29, 2007 - 07:53 this gets more play than it deserves - its a bit of an oddity, curiosity, novelty. RP plays it way more than the original classic which isn't right. |
| ch83575 | Posted: Aug 29, 2007 - 07:53 I have said bad things about this album in the past, and I still don't think it is JLL's best work or anything, but every time this song comes on i turn up the volume a few notches. |
