I couldn't understand the lyrics, so I read them. I still can't understand them. Possibly too much MMJ was smoked before writing this one?

 I have this whole theory that the right amount of weed needs to be smoked for good music. Too little, and it's boring. Too much, and you get, well, this. Or most Grateful Dead songs.

The good news is that the guitarist can still play even when zooted out of his mind.  {#Cheesygrin}

Lovely Jefferson Airplane-ey bass guitar.  Closely followed in rotation today with Somebody To Love (Live).  Nice touch.

I can never play this loud enough here at work to hear the bass.  But based on your comparison of the bass work to Jack Casady, I am going to raise my rating of this song a couple of points.

Damn, I did type in Jim James' name after googling it, but I guess I forgot to update my earlier comment.  I hate when I do that!  Anyway, the original's fixed now.  And today, this song following the Bodeans' "Fadeaway" has capped an excellent set begun by the Dandy Warhols' "Godless"!

Enthralling high energy music. Wish I could say that the vocalist was equally captivating. He's in the Tom Yorke category of singing flat and swallowing mumbling the lyrics.

Not knocking this jam, but sad we don't here anything off of their earlier records - Tennessee Fire, At Dawn, or It Still Moves.

I think I figured something out.  Too many listeners are being too analytical.  "It doesn't sound like the Beatles", or "it doesn't sound like Metallica".  Hey, not everything Bill plays is "great".  As much as I love Neil Young, there are several of his songs that don't move me.  But I don't over-analyze it.  Just listen, or not. That's radio.  Sometimes I think some of you don't drink enough.  Too many inhibitions or encumbrances.  Toss a few back.  Enjoy.
