My favorite of Patty's. . . which is a difficult choice to make! She is a goddess.

This song goes well with 'Chopping Broccoli' by Dana Carvey.

The vocals at the end of this song just floor me every time I hear it.

If I'm not mistaken she's actually talking about pizzas. That was funny though.

Actually, she is talking about pie pies, not pizza pies. http://www.tabletalkpie.com/home.htm I thought I read she had heard a news story about Table Talk Pies after they had some milestone anniversary (75th?) and that is what inspired her.

Melancholy at its finest.

Since Patti's a local I've heard this quite a bit already.
First time I heard it I kind of said 'so what, she makes pies, big deal.' But the melancholy of it is crushing. In a good way. I get an image of all the people who're just going through the motions, their lives set into a robotic routine. And the lives they might have had: the picture of her sweetheart, the child's birthday. Overwhelming.

When I see her name pop up, I'm always curious to hear what, and how, she'll sing. I'm unfamiliar with her music. "Little God" is an amazing song; it stops me everytime I hear it. This one about the pies is rich and complex. I found myself pausing to hear it and move into it. I look forward to happening upon it again. Glad to be introduced to this artist. Thanks.
