Yup, always thought this should be played before or after Charlatans' "The Only One I Know" --  AWESOME, then AND now!  Hush...Hush...

HAHAHAHA!  I get it!  Was waiting for the familiar rush of Deep Purple with the last tune ... and now here it is!  (Last tune = Charlatans, Only One I Know)

Oh yeah:  Dodge Dart with a tiny slant six and a dead yellow jacket in the dashboard speaker that bounced around on the woofer all summer.

Heh!  My buddy & I did that with "Fire" by Arthur Brown.  Remember, "I am the god of hell fire . . . and I bring YOU ...".  Never quite drove the carrot out of the butt of that Jehovah's Witless witch that lived a few doors down the street.

The very top of the song is a howling dog. In 1970(?) Eddie Stoberski and I camped out in his suburban backyard and at midnight blasted the opening seconds over and over on his (or maybe it was my) portable phonograph (remember those?) and had every dog in the neighborhood bellowing. Mischievous fun!

Tommy Bolin wasn't with Deep Purple at the time "Made In Japan" was recorded.  That was still very much Ritchie Blackmore.
