| Sobient (Norway, the icy spine of the world.) | Posted: Sep 08, 2010 - 00:40 This sounds like the work of Microsoft Songsmith (google it). See this youtube video to understand. |
| Dinges,_the_Dude (under sea-level, N52°22', E4°52') | Posted: Jul 06, 2010 - 03:27 A real improvement of the song! Unfortunately still a whining voice, though. |

| crockydile (Outer Spiral Arm, Milky Way) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:12 Not an improvement. Perhaps if they had someone who can sing...I can see the potential. |
| gratefulgator (San Francisco CA) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:12 I don't think these two groups should have merged for this... separately they're both much better. I'm not a huge Coldplay fan at all, but I like the original version of this song a lot better. |
| sonofpick (SoCal, Small College, My Office) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:12 Never play this again. |
| sirdroseph (Tokyo) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:12 Unfortunately this version puts more emphasis on Chris Martin's voice, not a good thing! |
| thatch (Shhh....at work....) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:11 caterwauling |
| Grammarcop (Hey, I can see Canada from here!) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:11 After a trip there in 2003, Havana is now part of my soul. |
| jkhandy (Near the ocean (in my mind)) | Posted: May 03, 2010 - 14:11 nice to see some people can just get along |
| listen_n_sf | Posted: Apr 01, 2010 - 22:19 Whenever I listen to classical music for a while then come back to something like this, I realize the difference between the two is you already know what this is about after ten seconds or so. There's nothing more to gain from it. |

| SirLars (London, ON) | Posted: Mar 01, 2010 - 07:18 simply awful |
| EssexTex (Gitche Gumee) | Posted: Mar 01, 2010 - 07:16 like ordering a lovely steak and then pouring engine oil all over it. |
| Joy4life (Central Coast, California (home of good wine, big fires)) | Posted: Mar 01, 2010 - 07:15 I was just thinking this was a nice remix, then the horns came in a killed it. |
| Felix_The_Cat (Buenos Aires, Argentina) | Posted: Mar 01, 2010 - 07:14 one of the few kudos to coldplay |

| Queue (ROKville, MD) | Posted: Oct 26, 2009 - 14:16 The vocal sounds really thin without all the backing keyboards. |

With all the great bands out there, why are they so famous?? When they came out with "Yellow," they were still unsigned to a major label, and it was a new sound — no one at the time (summer of 2000) sounded like Chris Martin, and it was kind of raw and naked compared to all the other overproduced dreck that was around at the time. Since then, people have gotten quite used to their sound, in part because so many of their songs sound alike. The latest album was supposed to have featured Martin discovering (i.e., finally using) his baritone. Personally, I think their songwriting is a bit overrated, though I thought "Fix You" was a marvelous paean to his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, in the wake of her father's death. |

| Jared (South Central...MA) | Posted: Oct 26, 2009 - 14:12 a very weak song by itself...then add samba? Maybe if I ate Pop-Rocks and drank Coke, I might understand this. |

| to_the_eleven (the groove) | Posted: May 21, 2009 - 09:41 Thou shalt not joke about Radiohead! Seems a lot of their fans are hyper sensitive about any association to another band that may be similarly OVER-RATED. <ducks> ![]() rdo wrote: I know you know better than to confuse Chris Martin with Thom Yorke. | Wizzuvvoz (Land of Nod. East of Eden on Route 66.) | Posted: May 21, 2009 - 09:34 this collaboration doesn't work too well for me. I like both CP and BVSC a lot, but his voice is not right for the groove I think. But the groove kind of works for the song IMO. |

I rather enjoy a version of "Ooops I did it Again" that I have by Richard Thompson. (Not the one of his album, but an in studio thing he did on NPRs Fresh Air.) Anyway, I'd call this a modest improvement on an otherwise mediocre song making it slightly better then mediocre. |

I definitely hear the resemblance, though. |
