I think about 50% of all music in AMG is classified as "Rock". First of all they seem to have a very wide notion of the concept "Rock". Next, they seem to assign a single genre to each artist's whole oeuvre. If the artist made anything rock-like on their first release, all other albums are "Rock" even if they contain a completely different genre... I pretty much gave up on assigning genres to songs in my collection, unless they clearly fit the more common genres like Rock, Electronica, Reggae, ... |
