Dang, she sounds interesting—  Sophie Solomon (born June 6, 1978) is a British violinist, songwriter and composer who fuses many different musical influences into her music...

Solomon began playing the violin at the age of two. At four she met Yehudi Menuhin and was taken to see the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. For the first five years she played totally by ear, learning to read music at the age of seven...

I am glad I have not rated this song yet— there is still time to resurrect it... it be growing on me...  hmmmm...

Thanks for that. I had sort of guessed it as I'm a big fan of KT, and I don't think Sophie Solomon does much singing. Lovely song, lovely singer, dreamy instrumentals. Beautiful :o)

I'm ashamed to say that this is my first listen, and I heard "If I Were A Rich Man" from "Fiddler on the Roof."  Not a bad comparison, though - and this is mournful, evocative, and rather achingly beautiful.
