I need a mirror
In the eyes of a man
I need no protection from my
Bulletproof plan
Cause I've got a ticket
For all that I lack
You might think that I'm gone for good
But I know that I'm coming back
Sit at my table
Sip from my bowl
I feel like I know you now
And I will do until I get old
You might not see me
Or trust that I'll stay
But there's no sense in traveling
If we've already been that way
Night is an adder
Hidden in grass
Bite like her life depends on it
And waits to see how long you last
But you know better
You stand your ground
It might just sting a little
B'she knows you're sticking around
The beauty of uncertainty (beauty of uncertainty)[x8]
(beauty of uncertainty)
aah-aah, Ooo-oo-oo-oooo-ooo
Oooo-oo-ooo-oo-ooo-oo
Aaaah-ohowoh-oowoooh-
Aaaah-ohowoh-oowaaah
Aaaah-ohowoh-oowoooh
Ohowoh-oowoooh
Ohowoh-oowoooh

| olivertwist (Atlanta GA) | Posted: Oct 27, 2011 - 17:54 I like the tunes I've heard from KT. She's soulful and sometimes rocks out, but she's not as angsty as Adele and Florence (and the Machine). |
| 1wolfy (Mission Viejo California) | Posted: Aug 11, 2011 - 16:04 As the story (song) unfolds it becomes more and more intense and the finish is spectacular. |

It saddens me that I don't sit down and listen to a whole album so often these days. Life back amongst civilisation is too fragmented. I had a friend who did exactly that, and I'm nostalgic for the days when I used to accompany him to HMV on his occasional trips home and help him fill up a shopping trolly with CDs and then watch the look of amazement on the shop assistant's face. Nice to have him around again though. |

I disagree completely with the first two sentences, but the last metaphor is funny! This song is really growing on me, as is KT herself. Edging towards a nine and a bit of a crush... |
| fredriley (Nottingham, UK) | Posted: Feb 06, 2009 - 03:11 Mrowl! I love a strong woman with a big instrument :o). Crass innuendo aside, I've always thought that KT is one Fife's better exports, together with Ian Rankin and King Creosote (a childhood mate of hers), with intelligent music and a strong voice, and this number reinforces that view. I must get my mitts on this CD at some point. 8 from the Nottingham jury. Edit: I bought this CD up in Orkney a few weeks back, and it's the dog's bollox, every song a cracker. And yes, I'd have bought it even without herself and her big instrument and kinky boots on the cover, honest :o) |
| bluemoon88 (deep in the coastal redwood forest of california) | Posted: Jan 26, 2009 - 11:46 If she does more stuff like this, that shows what an appealing vocalist she can be, she could quite possibly turn me into a fan. Certainly got tired of her other, overplayed stuff. |
| greyfin10 (Panama City, FL) | Posted: Dec 29, 2008 - 06:44 Another artists I seriously didn't get the first time I saw her (saw her Jools Holland solo thing with the delay pedal). But then perhaps this album is just that much better material? Not sure. Liking what I've heard recently though. |

( I'm an accountant; I adore KT Tunstall; this song is beautiful and poetic; the comment's hideous grammar) |
