wow, I don't think I've thought of that since I was 10 or whatever.. man that was stupid and awful then. What a lousy memory to dredge up. Good music brings back good memories, so it is only fitting that this bring up bad memories.

If it were quirky I might find this acceptable. But annoying is a more appropriate description.

My upload. I appreciate your comments, at least you don't seem indifferent to it

Urban Turban is a Swedish band centered around Peter Bryngelsson. They apply a wide range of instruments (including nyckelharpa, oud, bagpipe, chapman stick, goblet drum, etc), putting blends of Swedish folk & Arabic folk into American rock and blues covers. I don't think the band is active any more.

I may be biased for liking this band by the great live performances they used to give in the mid 90's, for which they deserve most credit (unfortunately, I am not aware of any live recordings). This is not for everybody, you need to be open-minded, and not see the song as murder of the original, from which it is a far departure, regardless.

I see Urban Turban as an original, great experiment, and I wish there were more musicians going off mainstream this way.

Stay tuned for their version of Voodoo Child...
