Caught out running
With just a little too much to hide
Maybe baby
Everything's gonna turn out fine
Please read the letter
I mailed it to your door
It's crazy how it all turned out
We needed so much more
Too late, too late
A fool could read the signs
Maybe baby
You'd better check between the lines
Please read the letter,
I wrote it in my sleep
With help and consultation from
The angels of the deep
Ah, ahahah ahah, ahahah
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Once I stood beside a well of many words
My house was full of rings and
Charms and pretty birds
Please understand me,
My walls came falling down
There's nothing here that's left for you
But check with lost and found
Ah, ahahah ahah, ahahah
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Oh!
One more song
Just before we go
Remember baby,
You gotta reap just what you sow
Please read my letter
And promise me you'll keep
The secrets and the memories
We cherish in the deep
Please read the letter
I mailed it to your door
It's crazy how it all turned out
We needed so much more
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Oh, oh, oh
Please read the letter
Please read the letter
Please read the letter
Oh, yeah, oh, oh, oh, oh....

According to Wikipedia, the treatments for obsessive compulsive disorder can help with worm removal, although you have to spend months taking a selective seretonin reuptake inhibitor - Prozac, Seroxat - which might seem a little out of proportion to the problem. Or there is a web site called Maim that tune which offers worm replacements. | markoirl (Dublin) | Posted: Sep 16, 2008 - 07:57 Some say that when played backwards at 78rpm, this track includes a subliminal message that encourages fifty-somethings to join the postal service. |
| fatcatjb (Sunny Sacramento) | Posted: Aug 15, 2008 - 18:14 despite mountains of accolades, this song/cd does very little for me, though I appreciate both artists a great deal.... |

Check out the photos of him as he tours with Alisson singing the songs from Raising Sand; horror is not something you're not likely to see. |

I've sat through the CD a couple of times and though I admire the musicianship and the blending of the vocals, it just doesn't work for me. Apart from that, I'm very capable of listening outside of the box, thank you very much. |

Heck, I even registered just to do that. And, for Bob's sake, if they have enough time to sing "Please read the letter" some freaking 500 times, why don't they just told her what's standing in it in between? Here's some ways to be less annoying and singing about letters: 1. Singing the letter out loud (The Beatles) 2. Singing, that you got a letter (The Box Tops) 3. Singing about how you're trying to mail her the letter (The King) Ok, I see, all interesting options where taken. |

| HoneyBearKelly (Brooklyn) | Posted: Jun 08, 2008 - 16:48 I hate every song on this ceedee. I'm going to do myself an injury running for the mute one of these days. |

| pacificbeth (one foot between two states while the other is healing successfully) | Posted: Jun 06, 2008 - 12:19 yeah, definitely a catchy tune--but I don't care much for it. . .thinkin' about catchy here as an unwilling participant with this song stuck somewhere in my head like a little "something" stuck between my teeth. . . |

| andrewimft (North Californie) | Posted: May 06, 2008 - 01:55 An excellent CD. Feels more like a Robert Plant solo album with Allison getting in a few tunes of her own and harmonizing. Robert goes folky and slightly bluegrassy, but it works, and it is beautiful. Great musicians with fine results to listen to. It's a grower, I've liked that CD more each time I hear it, there's a lot of subtle instrumental touches and the compositions and arrangements make more and more sense with each hearing, and it's beautiful music. |

| kaz (click 'Support RP' above + cough up something!) | Posted: Apr 13, 2008 - 00:35 I had high hopes for this collaboration. It underwhelmed me more than I thought was possible. Please read this letter and stop playing tunes from this album, it only dilutes the affection I have for both of these artists... |

| aragon (West Lafayette) | Posted: Apr 11, 2008 - 15:36 This is a pretty decent album. I was impressed by the melodies and force of nearly all songs. "Read the Letter", "Stick With Me Babe", "Gone,Gone, Gone" are my favorites but the whole disc is whorth buying. This is pure Americana and it is great! Good stuff by Robert Plant and Krauss. I guess Plant is pretty much better going solo than with Led Zepellin. |

He seems to think she didn't read the letter, but I don't know how just the same. The music and harmony are great, the cleverness of the lyrics seems to be lacking well behind the musical talent. |
