Likable....Something about her sound..even when she has tried different "styles" I have enjoyed it. Objectively ( with my surplus of musical training) I could find fault..but it is music and when she sings it is like a conversation with her talking to me. The communication comes through, no great voice or " musicianship" but a connection about the song. She's OK. This song is easy to listen to and easy to forget but it works.........

Seeing her live at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago this Sunday.  Should be a great time.

This one gets a 7 for now, will probably levitate higher later.

wow, for the comment below ALONE she sounds great... I wasnt that into this song when it first came on, although I was interested to know if this title is a play off Ani DiFranco's "Little Plastic Castles"... and Id be interested to see if this will grow on me! ;o)

Caught her on "The World Cafe" radio show last night, where she was doing an interview and playing a few songs live. I had never heard her stuff before and was impressed by what I heard. Also, funny story...during the interview, she talked about the fact that she was signed to a Christian label very early in her career, and wanted out of the contract. They wouldn't let her out, so she told them that she had had premarital sex and was going to tell everyone about it in her songs, at which time the record label promptly released her.
