Goldfrapp always reminds me of that cinnamon liqueur, with gold leaf in it.

I bought this song after hearing it a few times on RP, and I like it more the more I hear it. Something about it just works for me. I'd still have the same opinion if Allison was an unattractive dimbo.

Wow - just read the lyrics of this song, and it's pretty heavy emotional stuff... I have a friend who used to regularly end up in the emergency room because she'd try to kill herself by overdosing on pills and alcohol or cutting her wrists (she finally learned that to effectively open a vein, one must slice along the vein, and not across it.)  It was all because of the various medications she'd been prescribed (she was misdiagnosed as psychotic from the very beginning, and things just went downhill from there.)  She's off drugs, doesn't drink anymore, and doesn't have any problem feeling emotions without going overboard.  This song reminds me of her uglier times, though.  Nice tune, but dark, dark lyrics.

And that was probably more information than anyone really wanted to read. {#Whistle}

For some reasons these little stories from peoples lives are frequently more interesting then the song comments themselves.  I, for one, appreciate you sharing it.

I love her vocal range - she can hit the high notes clearly, without sliding up to them, and her lower registers are smooth, but she can make them husky/whispery when she wants.  Day-am - I'm liking her music more and more.... {#Daisy}

Popular music recording artists are usually not just judged in "music terms".  I liked Goldfrapp's music before I had seen any images of Alison Goldfrapp, but it cannot be denied that her physical attractiveness is a part of their "act".  Finding her attractive does not make one a "pig".  Excellent song, by the way.
