![]() These Streets (2007) [ larger cover art ] |
You said you'd marry me if I was 23
But I'm one that you can't see if I'm only 18
Tell me who made these rules
Obviously not you
Who are you answering to?
Oh, Jenny don't be hasty
No, don't treat me like a baby
Let me take you where you'll let me
Because leaving just upsets me
And I'll be around again
To see these other men
Who are more adequate
In the age department
If I did not think you cared
There'd be no problems here
But now you're looking at me like you're disgusted
And I'm definitely waiting for you to smile and change your mind
Then I'll say I'm sorry and I'll wrap my arms 'round your body
And I really hope that you forgive in a hurry
And don't just ask me to leave
Oh, Jenny don't be hasty
Don't treat me like a baby
Let me take you where you'll let me
Because leaving just upsets me
Oh, Jenny you are crazy!
First I'm perfect, then I'm lazy
And I was calling you my baby
Now it sounds like you've just left me
And it kills me!

| dew34 | Posted: May 14, 2009 - 02:29 Who does this song remind me of? Catchy but a little weak, but then I like it, Whomever. |

| HarrO (Just Down the Hill from Paradise) | Posted: Mar 05, 2009 - 20:26 Looks like Bill has been throwing this one into rotation about once a month. Just about perfect for this enjoyable but forgettable tune. 7 'cause it's fun. |
| sherf (OCNY) | Posted: Feb 02, 2009 - 07:01 A rather ordinary song that has been improved by the segue to Tommy Tutone. Hilarious! Coupla good bar-bands, though. I'd sit through another set if the beer was good enough. |

Go listen to him ripping up Robbie Burn's 'A Man's a Man': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOBcFt5tevY It's not too surprising he's from the Glasgow area, there being a very large Italian/Italo-Scot community up there dating, I believe, from WWII when a lot of POWs preferred to remain in Scotland to make a new life rather than go home to a devastated country. A pretty good noise, this song - 7 from the Nottingham jury. |

| EpiE (Richmond B.C. Canada) | Posted: Jan 07, 2009 - 22:45 I heard it for the first time on RP tonight and I have wondered why I haven't heard it sooner. You guys need to give the album a second listen...and third and fourth it's actually awesome... Paolo rocks! |

Couple of good tunes, this being one of them, but the rest of the album is a dud. Guy at work ripped it for me. Glad he did and I didn't waste my money. He wasted his though as we are both disappointed with this album. Guy's got a great, unique sound. He just needs to keep the groove going. |

| pookles | Posted: Nov 02, 2008 - 17:37 For some reason I really like this song and this voice. |
| unbracketed | Posted: Oct 30, 2008 - 16:48 There is a live version out there that has a slightly more raw sound that I like a little more, but this is a great tune. |
| Gryn (Oregon) | Posted: Oct 13, 2008 - 05:48 The lead singer sounds suspiciously like the lead singer for the band "Neutral Milk Hotel." |
| TriskyJen (Hudson River Valley) | Posted: Oct 13, 2008 - 05:44 It's so nice to hear a unique, textural voice. Maybe a little sand-on-paper, but it's gooood. |
| TeleFrank (Allgäu, Germany) | Posted: Sep 26, 2008 - 23:49 Yeah! Reminds me of my last holidays when I heard that for the first time. ![]() Nice album, although the mixer/technician failed to record the piano-tracks in good quality, they all sound distorted if you hear it loud. However: nice track, nice album, rock on ![]() |
| ick (San Diego, CA) | Posted: Sep 19, 2008 - 13:09 who is this Nutini? and why does the bass mix sound muddy on an otherwise good song? |
| smehan55 (Beneath a Carolina blue sky) | Posted: Sep 11, 2008 - 15:18 Fun little rocker. I like this. Has a groove sorta like the Romantics. But less raucous. 7 |
| Excelsior | Posted: Sep 11, 2008 - 15:12 Awful voice, awful song. 2. |
