(Jaret Reddick, John Allen, Mitchell Scherr)
Woohoo
Woohoo
Debbie just hit the wall
She never had it all
One Prozac a day
Husbands a CPA
Her dreams went out the door
When she turned twenty four
Only been with one man
What happen to her plan?
She was gonna be an actress
She was gonna be a star
She was gonna shake her ass
On the hood of white snake's car
Her yellow SUV is now the enemy
Looks at her average life
And nothing has been alright
Springstein, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she's uncool
But she still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985
Woohoo
(1985)
Woohoo
She's seen all the classics
She knows every line
Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink
Even Saint Elmo's Fire
She rocked out to wham
Not a big Limp Biscuit fan
Thought she'd get a hand
On a member of Duran Duran
Where's the mini-skirt made of snake skin
And who's the other guy singing in Van Halen
When did reality become T.V.
What ever happen to sitcoms, game shows
(on the radio there was)
Springstein, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she's uncool
But she still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985
Woohoo
She hates time make it stop
When did Motley Crew become classic rock?
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop
Stop!
And bring back
Springstein, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she's uncool
But she still preoccupied
With 1985
Springstein, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school

| Dahnyul | Posted: Jan 26, 2009 - 22:03 I can appreciate some covers, but this just doesn't add anything. I love the BFS original, as it so suits their musical and lyrical style. Don't get what this cover is for. |
| MrGreg (Out West) | Posted: Dec 12, 2008 - 16:44 This song is just not nearly as clever as it wants to think it is. |
| Fiji5555 (Over The River And Through The Woods) | Posted: Dec 12, 2008 - 16:41 This was just so NOT needing a remake.........ugh ![]() |
| jpfueler (South o' Ft Worth) | Posted: Nov 24, 2008 - 17:11 But is the lead guitar as big as the one for Bowling? BFS is a great cover band as well. They do a great "I Ran" (Flock of Seagulls). |

It was, like, my eighth attempt to get something into the playlist and I was a little stunned to see it accepted after being turned down on "Boom Boom Mancini" by Warren Zevon and a couple of really terrific Forró numbers. I think this remake is catchy and fun, and am surprised at the negative reactions and the low rating. Just in case you're curious, it got 19-to-1 "thumbs up" from the LRC crowd. Well listening to it gave me pleasure jdbaldwin. Thank you. |

| renegade_X (My House) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:46 LMAO JIVE!!!! We posted the same comment at the same time. Thats too much ! |

| maryte (Blinding You With Library Science!) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:45 This compilation is fabulous, but this cover is hardly the one they should be playing. I uploaded RT doing "Oops, I Did It Again" (which was immediately sorried - go figure) - he shreds on it, brings out the cynicism in the brilliant way that only he can - and then has an acoustic guitar Renaissance breakdown in the middle of it. |

| renegade_X (My House) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:45 OMFG!!!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!! Another failure at a remake. |
| Jive (Toronto) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:45 Make it stop... stop....stop! |
| nagsheadlocal (North Carolina, the new New Jersey) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:44 Saw Thompson two years ago in a local arts venue. He rocked and I was astonished to think of how long he has been on the road. The man is dedicated to his art. |
| i4niblind (Vancouver, BC) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:44 he said it... "please make it stop!" |
| Baby_M (a 100-year old building in downtown Akron, Ohio) | Posted: Oct 10, 2008 - 12:44 Oh, c'mon kids, this is fun! |
| RadioDoc (Chicagoland) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:38 I didn't think Thompson could sing that fast. Giving him a 7 for effort. The song still reeks no matter who sings it... |
| CamLwalk (Albany NY) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:28 mongoose01ca wrote: What the... Did this need a cover? I kinda don't think so. This project/tour/dvd is a music lesson from Richard. Songs from the years 1000 ad to 1999 ad. Bowling for Soup fell somewhere's in there. |
| rsfinn (Mount Airy, MD) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:28 Are you f—ing kidding me? How bizarre... |
| rah | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:27 Richard Thompson does new-Emo... I don't think this really works. |
| Queue (ROKville, MD) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:27 This version seems a little rushed... maybe if they slowed the tempo down a hair it would sound a bit better. |
| liser (on the green turtle) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:27 Fun song! Does she have wings, too?? |
| redtex (The Third Coast) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:27 WOW this is bad! |
| FlamingLotus (South Austin, baby!) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:26 Great—now I feel old! ;^P |
| songbirdfemme (syracuse ny) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:26 There should be a rating that indicates split personalities and confusion |
| CamLwalk (Albany NY) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:26 Play one of the songs from the middle ages... So Ben Mi Ca Bon Tempo |
| KahunaMatata (Honolulu, HI) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:26 I really dig covers where artist's make it their own sound. This version works for me! |

| stratrjb | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:26 Love it! Thanks RP and thanks to my daughter I know all the words! |
| aarrgho | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:25 dang!!....2 of my all time favorite songwriters - Hank then Richard - .....maybe not my 2 fav songs by those guys but HEY.....I'm diggin' it!! |
| copymonkey (in the northeast, but not near anywhere cool) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:25 He also does a really cool (believe it or not) version of "Hit me Baby one more time" on this record. He's such a scamp. |
| mongoose01ca (Terminal City, BC) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:25 What the... Did this need a cover? I kinda don't think so. |
| doc_dave (Edinburgh) | Posted: Sep 22, 2008 - 12:24 Third new song on the trot ... |
