Hey Suzen - Never mind the nattering nabobs of negativism (strangely abundant on RP !?!)  Who knows what compels a person to announce to the world that they don't like something. {#Iamwithstupid}   The only ones that matter are the comments that are funny or positive.

Anyway - This is a great tune!  I went to look for it on download on your website - but it linked me to ITunes. Would rather buy directly from you so you get the whole dollar and not just the few cents. I'll check back another time...  Thanks!

At first I thought this might grow on me.

Then I became afraid that it would.

It reached unbearable before it ended.... I switched my player to NPR for the duration.

Never again would be soon enough for me.

This is one of the worst sequences of miserable, droning songs I've ever heard. I wonder why musicians make the effort, and use their talents, to record dross like this. ecch!

Bloody hell — here's another one comin' round: "Song to the Siren" from Mortal Coil. A perfect segue to this song ... which is not a compliment.

Very nice.  I did think of Mazzy Star initially, with a touch of Kristin Hersh & Lucinda Williams.  Just went and downloaded this from iTunes.

I do like her voice as well and the guitar sound is very clear and deep.  It seems like a lot of producers can get complacent with sound production for acoustic guitars; that doesn't sound to be the case here.  What the hell do I know?  Anyhow, nice song.

Love the little rrrrraunchy tone that drips into the vocals every now & then - roughens it and gives a nice counterpoint to the guitar.

And yeah, I can get the Mazzy Star reference.

and ... what a great segue into This Mortal Coil.  Bliss.

It is truly an incredible feeling to stop by the comments and see what many of you have written. I try to make it a point to write each of you back, but time doesn't always allow such things. So while I have your eyes for a moment, THANK YOU!
I hope you don't mind it that I drop off a few links from time to time, as my full time job, seems to be getting my Sound 'Out There' for people to hear, and that in and of itself is no easy task. So,Bill & Rebecca Goldsmith THANK YOU so much for playing 'FLOWERS'...and All of you that have listened and commented THANK YOU lots!

If you are interested in showing your support by becoming a fan, You can do that http://www.reverbnation.com/7juel and just click the Fan button... -p.s. fans get free mp3's-
I'm also on Facebook as SuzenJueL (for my fan page) or if you don't want to be a fan and just want to add me on your facebook, you can look me up that way too.

I don't want to bomb the page with links and spam...I just appreciate you all listening, and wanted to thank you for your comments, and also RP for even playing this song.
If you are interested in hearing a live 'Virtual Performance' you can find me in Second Life, a virtual community full of Independent artists. Here is where I get to hit the Global Community with an actual Live show.
Otherwise if you are in the
Minneapolis metro area, I perform there from time to time as well. Meanwhile, I'm so grateful for your comments and for your ears, thanks much for tuning into Radio Paradise. BTW did you know RP is on Facebook and Twitter?

The most flattering thing is, when others want to cover one of my songs. So far I have been approached by 4 musicians that want to cover it, and the last friend that asked, sent me a link to my YouTube Video of it, which I had forgotten about.
This is the Early version of it, back when I wrote it in 2007.
Thanks again for the feedback :)

So here I am, drinking my tea, and I get a message from my friend 'C'...and he says, "You Were On the Radio Today!"...I think I said "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" about a dozen times. It's not that I didn't believe him, it's that I didn't believe 'it'...
So I went to the playlist, and there is "Flowers Against My Dress, by Suzen JueL, played at 10:14am."
Yep I did it.
Let out that HOWL and ran around announcing it to all living things.
WHY?
I've  been a BIG FAN of Radio Paradise about 3 years. I was introduced by another friend who played the station all the time.
It's the most amazing mix of music I've heard anywhere.
So, now that I'm STILL shaking my head...thanks for the comments!!!
I had forgotten that I submitted some music a few weeks ago. (I love surprises like this when I forget something) but I have been listening A LOT. Well sure enough, it was when I walked out of the house for a few moments, that it was played.
SO THANK YOU BILL and REBECCA GOLDSMITH and all of you listeners. You truly have made my day!
Have a fulfilling New Year
