Yes, agreed....it's the drumming that creates a disco beat.  You hear it very clearly at the beginning of the song...

It's the drums. The 16th note hi-hat especially, and the way he plays with opening and closing the cymbals. At least, that's where I'm hearing it.

The opening notes had me thinking this was a cover of Blondie's "Rapture."

This album is fantastic, and one of my favorites of the year. Solid all the way through. They were great live, when I saw them this summer, too.

Oddly enough, I sprained my "sacroiliac" last month ( it still hurts) and I knew that some old song had that word in the lyrics but I couldn't remember it. Hearing this track by the Doves made me think of that Blondie tune and, voila, these lyrics;
