I have not seen this one, guess it was before 16:9 was popular.

It was the vid that introduced me to BOHs... for a change. Nearly all my music intros over the last 8 years have been from RP... Stunning stuff, both the band and Danny's antics.

Anybody else hearing 'YES' being channeled with this band?

I was thinking more of the Beach Boys with a harder, more rocking sound.

Lead singer Ben Bridwell says he didn’t intend the song to be deep, and wrote about how birthdays and family occasions felt like funerals to him, but fans have found plenty of meaning in the word play. Whatever the story, it evokes a sad and reflective mood as the singer visits someone and contemplates if they will be alive when he gets there.

I bet he's loads of fun to be around.  {#Rolleyes}

There's a local beer in Cincinnati called "Hudephol."  The first time I heard this one, I thought they were singing, "On every occasion I am ready for a Hudephol."  Seemed awfully slow and dark for a beer commercial.

"(Nothing But) Flowers" This used to be real estate.

This is a straight 10 for me (wouldn't mind hearing The Great Salt Lake more often either!).

Totally agree.  First two were great then they seemed to lose it a bit.

While their rawness is vital to their sound, I REALLY wish I had drummed on this track and cleaned it up just a bit. Maybe added a touch of flair.

I know that's cocky, but I can't help it.

Really sad for all the people who come here just to shit on music that other people enjoy. Bill doesn't play very much that I don't like, but when he does, I just hit PSD and move on. If you liked everything you heard and everything sounded familiar, wouldn't you stop bothering to listen out of sheer boredom?

I can only imagine that you heard the word "funeral" and assumed each line was the same.  But that's objectively incorrect.

I like the music. Amazing how they get a fair amount of emotion out of some chiming guitar chords and reverb.
But ... wtf is this song about?
