I don't think anyone here would consider that a compliment.

I was about to "ho hum" this one but realized that I've already done it once. That's a good sign that I HATE this song.

Have you ever caught one? I did, and it was trying to get away so badly it wrapped itself around my fishing pole and pulled so hard it popped the hook through its own head, leaving a huge gaping hole, becoming an immediately dead eel.

I have to admire your storytelling ability! Although the visual was unwanted, your prose conveyed it compellingly. I don't think I want to try fishing for eels, ever, after reading that! EEW!

I bought a bunch of Eels CDs (through RP Links) based on listening here.  Agree with several earlier comments, and offer a couple of, perhaps, original comments.

1) Not everybody will get this music, but that applies to every kind of music.
2) E's music is a lot of "sweet little ditties", but they're pretty good sweet little ditties.
3) Lots of Eels tunes in movies, perhaps because of comment 2.
4) Why aren't these songs on commercial radio?  They have tremendous potential to turn into overplayed pablum.

Thanks for your time.

Nice little ditty. Which, however, stands for about 3/4 of the Eels' oeuvre.

"Why can't I get with you?" Because based on your lyrics, every friend she has is telling her "RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!" almost as loudly as when the guy from Passenger asked her out. Sheesh. {#Hand}
