This sounds very much like something Rufus Wainwright would write.  I like it.

On a lesser note, I hear a good amount of comments about how Tom is like Freddy Mercury. Listen to Mika. That is Freddy Mercury reincarnated. His stuff is super queer, but he is Freddy.

I agree and disagree... {#Lol} I don't presume to know what other folks' desire is when they post that little barf-icon or say "Make it stop." I've had my moments, too - usually when I honestly don't have the words to describe why I like or don't like a song. But I do agree that a short post calling a song "drivel" without even a cursory explanation as to why the listener considers it drivel is pretty uncreative.

Personally, I like this song, and now that you've mentioned it, the lead singer does have echoes of Freddy Mercury.  Those precise, clipped "s" sounds and the tone of his voice, the snarl, the whisper, the plea...  Hmmm. Keane makes me wish Mercury hadn't died so soon... Imagine what kind of music Queen would be providing now...{#Bounce}

Listening to this on the headphones this morning, the singer, Tom Chaplin, sure did remind me of Freddie. I really think Queen should have packed it in after Freddie died, how can it be Queen without him?? But, if they insist on touring then I agree with you, Tom would be a better choice than Paul Rodgers (who I also like).
