| big_gare (Langley, Bee Cee, Canada) | Posted: May 30, 2010 - 19:59 I actually really enjoyed the orchestral arrangement of that Chris Martin song. Something tells me he'd appreciate that too. Remember people that arranging a song like that for a full orchestra is an almost unfathomable amount of work. The results, in my opinion, are great! As a songwriter I can't imagine that C.M. would feel anything other that complete awe at the treatment the Prague Philharmonic gave his funny little tune... :-) |
| TwinEngine | Posted: May 30, 2010 - 19:59 Even without the hate, I don't see the point (of the arrangement, of playing it here...). There is much we could all learn about music we may not listen to normally (e.g. orchestral/classical music), and this is not helping us! |
| plaice3 | Posted: May 30, 2010 - 19:55 I enjoyed the segue and this piece as a nice something different. It's quite lovely in its way. ![]() |

| Ag3nt0rang3 (Canada) | Posted: Mar 28, 2010 - 12:18 C'mon, BillG, even Mari rated this a one. I think that means it's got to go! |
| jimbaca (Albuquerque) | Posted: Mar 28, 2010 - 11:59 Q: What did Kenny G say as he stepped off of the elevator? A: This place rocks! (Actually, this is a decent song.) |

| CyberCoyote (Central Cali Coast) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 22:31 OK, but how 'bout some good 20th century music like Sibelius? |
| rtrudeau (Bay Area, California) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 22:27 Cool people hate Coldplay. I'm so glad I'm not a cool person. |
| michaelgmitchell (Belleville, ON) | Posted: Jan 24, 2010 - 11:27 ![]() Four thumbs down. Actually, I'm with them. Make it five. |
| Jack_Jefferson (Columbus, OH) | Posted: Jan 24, 2010 - 11:25 Grover: Oh, I've been to Prague. Well, I haven't "been to Prague" been to Prague, but I know that thing, that, "Stop shaving your armpits, read the Unbearable Lightness of Being, date a sculptor, now I know how bad American coffee is thing... " Jane: They have good beer there. Grover: "... now I know how bad American beer is thing." Kicking and Screaming, 1995 |

| aquadonia (Green Bay, WI) | Posted: Dec 24, 2009 - 01:21 I much prefer the song this way. I can't get into Coldplay otherwise, and even then it's only a 6 for me. *shrugs* GG_Mora wrote: I guess we can only be grateful you didn't play ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from the same collection. |

| ClaireWild (Ireland) | Posted: Nov 22, 2009 - 15:18 fabulous take on a chris martin coldplay tune. We have no coldlplay in our music collection. Maybe now's the time to get some coldplay...and this beautiful rendition as well. |
| Pieter (Sydney Australia) | Posted: Nov 22, 2009 - 15:13 That was pretty mushy wasn't it? |

| federico (Padova, Italy) | Posted: Sep 20, 2009 - 15:45 OK, it is eclectic, so it fits on RP — but these experiments only work if the original song is unknown to the listener, better yet if old and forgettable, or if the arrangement turns the tune completely inside-out (think of honeysuckle rose and Bird) .... |
| rdo (DC) | Posted: Sep 20, 2009 - 15:44 It's quite an achievement to make Coldplay sound good. |
| df1489 (Lake Palestine, Tyler Tx) | Posted: Sep 18, 2009 - 20:53 just check out the rest of this album... |
| Shaken_Bake (Mile High City (or is it just me?)) | Posted: Sep 18, 2009 - 20:51 Unnecessary. |
| deadbeat | Posted: Aug 20, 2009 - 04:04 Coldplay are already Muzak, this needn't have been done ... shouldn't have been done. Count the votes, Bill, and spare us. |

| mocky | Posted: Aug 18, 2009 - 09:01 dear lord, put an end to this! I love philharmonic orchestras, and I love Coldplay, but sounds like it's coming straight from a cheesy coffee creamer commercial with italian backdrop... |
| nmcvaugh (Austin, Texas) | Posted: Aug 18, 2009 - 09:01 Okay, I like coldplay. But seriously - a MUZAK version of Yellow? DO NOT WANT! |
| crockydile (I miss Excelsior!) | Posted: Aug 18, 2009 - 09:01 Wow, without Chris Martin, this is a good song. |
