I actually really enjoyed the orchestral arrangement of that Chris Martin song.  Something tells me he'd appreciate that too.  Remember people that arranging a song like that for a full orchestra is an almost unfathomable amount of work.  The results, in my opinion, are great!  As a songwriter I can't imagine that C.M. would feel anything other that complete awe at the treatment the Prague Philharmonic gave his funny little tune...  :-)

Even without the hate, I don't see the point (of the arrangement, of playing it here...). There is much we could all learn about music we may not listen to normally (e.g. orchestral/classical music), and this is not helping us!

I enjoyed the segue and this piece as a nice something different.  It's quite lovely in its way.  {#Angel}

Oh I think we need to hear BIg Cat after this. I suddenly found myself in the DMV elevator for a moment.

Q:  What did Kenny G say as he stepped off of the elevator?

A:  This place rocks!

(Actually, this is a decent song.)

I much prefer the song this way. I can't get into Coldplay otherwise, and even then it's only a 6 for me. *shrugs*

OK, it is eclectic, so it fits on RP — but these experiments only work if the original song is unknown to the listener, better yet if old and forgettable, or if the arrangement turns the tune completely inside-out  (think of honeysuckle rose and Bird) ....
