Whole thing will still go on without you
Something will still be there to move me
Coz my own thing is always to inspire you
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love is close as I can get
The one that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
Sometimes I can't remember
Sometimes I can't forget
Thole thing will still come down without you
It's nothing to do with all of you
But my own thing is only to protect you
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love is close as I can get
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside
Sometimes I can't remember
Sometimes I can't forget
Each night in bed my dreams take me over
Whole world still goes round without you (over and over)
Something will still be there to move me
Coz my own thing is always to inspire you
One that I love I dream beside
One that I love I dream beside

Absolutely correct - The other track is "Burn You Up, Burn You Down". I prefer that one of the two but, most Gabriel is good Gabriel! Scored a '7'. |

Of all the comments about this song, this is the one that really resonates. Gabriel's voice is always heavily processed, but the result gives me goosebumps too. The song itself, as others have said, is a big generic compared to his other work. But Gabriel's work is always above average (even for RP). 7. |

Hey Peter, the DoD just called. They want to use this song for "enhanced interrogation". This is like sucking in air after being underwater compared to THAT last Bowie song. You'd make a lousy torturer. ![]() |

| raulman1 (San Francisco Bay Area, CA) | Posted: Mar 22, 2010 - 18:03 Yet another previously unheard (by me) amazing track by one of my favorite artists. I love it! Thanks for the upload to whoever is responsible, and if you're not a fan of PG, get over yourself. There are many other radio outlets that rarely play his music. Better yet, upload some of YOUR favorite music, and if enough of us like it, you'll get to hear more of the music you DO like! |

| Trickyricky | Posted: Oct 20, 2009 - 18:25 another CD I will have to add to my collection. I can not get enough of Peter Gabriel. Each record grows on you the more you listen. |

| timcolson (Tucson, AZ) | Posted: Aug 14, 2009 - 10:20 Thanks, Bill! This is why I love RP - i.e. constantly exposing new and new-old music. :-) I didn't realize the album existed, but I do recall hearing another track from the album ("Burn you Up, Burn you Down") here on RP some time ago. Unfortunately, that track is only available if you purchase the whole album. I listened to the samples from the other tracks. Unfortunately, not that many grab me as much as the ones with Pete. :-( -Timo |
| jmurphyjr | Posted: Aug 14, 2009 - 10:13 I have loved Peter Gabriel's music from way back in Genesis days. I would have loved to see him in costume singing Watcher of the Skies. But of course he's one of those great artists that has matured while staying true to his vision - the sound (and costumes!) are different but that voice, always there! And such interesting partnerships over time. |
