There are certain songs whose musical architecture are so 'instantly familiar' that listening makes one feel completely 'at home'.
When this song comes up, and I'm at home working, I sometimes pick up my old Stratocaster.
You know those computer driving games where the road approaches and you have to steer accordingly ? Well the road often travelled that this song represents is so easy to steer  that  I can play along effortlessly, let go and sometimes surprise myself.
it is for me the pinnacle of her achievements so far, nicely balanced with "Back to me" the cheeky rocker on another album.

Not only do I generally very much like Kathleen, but the bass line in this song is absolutely mesmerizing. And the harmonica bleeds sorrow.

I am useless whenever this song is playing.  I get stuck in my chair and my veins almost stop from funnelling. It is a remarkable song. I love it.

This grows on me. First I gave 5, on second listen 6, now 7. Maybe one day I'll give her 8? I normally reserve ratings 8-9-10 to the truly outstanding, my musical gods. We'll see.

Kathleen's lyrics are amazingly well thought out and if you listen to her songs enough each and every one will strike a chord deep in your soul.

Everynow and then I hit across a song which kinda pulls me apart from that all too complicated person I have now become and in amongst all that mess of bits somewhere inside, something tells me that this past couple of minutes has been very special. Wow,I have stopped,I have actually stopped and am in the moment.......thankyou Ms. Edwards...oh  thankyou.

This is an accurate description. I really like this, but it works better if I try and ignore the clumsy attempts to rhyme and let the flow of the music take over.

This is the first Kathleen Edwards song I ever heard.  Of course, I heard it a couple years ago on RP.  Where else would you hear this kind of music.

My enjoyment of her music has only increased over the last couple years.
