A voice like Sade's inoculates a song from any rating below 7.
I think that's the baseline.

Nice analogy, but I don't know if it's a bad thing that she has always had a "smooth" vocal style - it doesn't lack emotion to my ears.

I bought this CD on the strength of this song, and the innovative (for Sade) title track which has also been played on RP. Sadly, the rest of the CD is standard Sade - smooth, well-produced, but inconsequential and pretty much in the same vein as her previous works. These are the two best tracks on it, IMO. Sade fans will be pleased enough, I'm sure, and it's not a bad CD, just a bit...fluffy.

One of the most universally appealing artists in the world; from Mexico to Singapore and Mauritius to Germany and more, everyone everywhere seems to know, love, and respect her sound. I admire how she and her group of talented musicians keep coming up with new rhythms to go with that incredibly sexy, sultry voice of hers. She's never made a dud recording, and some days, especially if a special gal is around, I can play her stuff all day, and it always goes well... Thanks, Sade, and RP!

Hé, just checking and it turns out to be Sade indeed. I believe I tend to tike this song: sometimes here voice sounds so whining, but here it is appropriate, I think.

I saw her in concert about 15 years ago and she was super sexy and her voice is very underrated.  It's dance-off pants-off music!

I do not recall ever liking Sade, because of her 80's music. But as I hear her now on RP, I much more appreciate her voice, minus the 80's vibe that I associated with her. Thumbs up on her talent.

Agree totally with everything BUT "one sound."  She's got a distinctive voice, but I'm not quite sure this track is predictable (based on her previous body of work) AT ALL.
