A heart that's full up like a landfill
A job that slowly kills you
Bruises that won't heal
You look so tired and unhappy
Bring down the government
They don't, they don't speak for us
I'll take a quiet life
A handshake of carbon monoxide
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
Silent, silent
This is my final fit, my final bellyache with
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises please
Such a pretty house, such a pretty garden
No alarms and no surprises (let me out of here)
No alarms and no surprises (let me out of here)
No alarms and no surprises please (let me out of here)

If this were an original, I'd probably rate it quite high, but knowing the hauntingly beautiful original... I don't know. I'm not going to vote on this one. Every song on OK Computer is a 10, in total seriousness. But please give this cover a 1. It is tantamount to sacrilege. |
| ufamsm (Phoenix, AZ, USA) | Posted: May 26, 2010 - 19:17 Wow, that totally caught me off guard, great song! Funny how Radiohead can sound so much *more* awesome when covered, gives you a better idea of the song. Flaming Lips have an excellent cover of "Knives Out". |

| ra990 | Posted: May 26, 2010 - 19:16 Between this and the other song that plays here from the same album...I'm now officially interested in giving this album a full listen. |
| nu-GFX (Bonn, Germany) | Posted: Apr 06, 2010 - 01:44 This song gives me the creeps every time I hear it. Every time. It's something that could run as a soundtrack during a bloody rampage in a Tarantino movie, with slow motion shots and everything. - Me likey! ;) |
| KrischanZ (Halle/Saale Gemany) | Posted: Apr 06, 2010 - 01:42 the worst version of a great song! |
| stevesaw (Northern VA USA) | Posted: Apr 03, 2010 - 14:20 It seems most negative comments about Radiohead center on Thom's voice, so maybe this makes their music more accessible?! Anyway at least it's easier to understand the lyrics! |
| dctrpunda (the thin line of here) | Posted: Apr 03, 2010 - 14:20 You know, if I was like chillin in some Caribbean bar, I could enjoy this song. Here though, not so much.. |
| siskinbob (United Kingdom) | Posted: Mar 30, 2010 - 05:32 God No..... Another Dirge Gets a 1 from me. |

| mocky | Posted: Mar 24, 2010 - 11:07 lovely track - and a brilliant pairing with Radiohead's House of Cards - thanks for making me first laugh, and then say "oooh yeah!" out loud! |

| Cruzan (AUSTIN, TX) | Posted: Mar 05, 2010 - 10:37 I think someone should do an all Tuba, Accordian, and Bagpipe version of this Radiohead album. Allthough it would still be pretty tough to make something that is even more horrible and dissonant than the orignal. Well, maybe if you got Springstein to sing, Ringo Starrr to drum, and the bass player from Spoon could play the same note over and over and over again through the whole song. That might get it. :-) |
| Mandible | Posted: Mar 05, 2010 - 10:35 Most Excellent. Bill rocks. |
| isayhoomhom (Bethel, CT) | Posted: Mar 05, 2010 - 10:34 The first time I heard this I thought it was novel. Now I'm just sick of it. Ack! Make it stop. |
| Felix_The_Cat (Buenos Aires, Argentina) | Posted: Mar 05, 2010 - 10:34 Oh God, forgive them please |
| rdo (DC) | Posted: Mar 05, 2010 - 10:34 doesn't fit with the lyrics |
| skogman (Sweden) | Posted: Mar 02, 2010 - 23:18 +1 for dub side of the moon :) |
| ziggytrix (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 08:51 I'm feelin this one a lot more than the Karma Police remake from the same album. Nice nice. I'm still thinkin some tracks from their Dub Side of the Moon album would fit in the mix. |
| oldhippiechick (Pottsville, PA) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 08:51 Strange. Sort of humorous. But I like it, I think. |
| peacockangel (Phoenix) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 08:50 as soon as I figure out this whole uploading thing (lol sorry) I'ma upload another Easy Star comp and some other Reggae |
| fredriley (Nottingham, UK) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 08:47 Hmm. Thom Yorke in a reggae stylee. It's sure an improvement on himself, but it does sound a bit klunky. |
| mandolin (...drifting...) | Posted: Feb 24, 2010 - 08:45 Time is the master and time can be a disaster! |
